Hi there, Could you please give me any advise for solution of problem I faced with aftermarket rear camera installation to my wife's Civic 2014 LX? The camera I have installed myself doesn't work normally. Actually, all connections are simple (you know) and nothing special there but anyway. I found in web some info about iMid hidden menu and found camera setting there. Miracle happened and camera works BUT! only when I entered into that service menu. Everything works fine (black screen and camera is OFF and in triggered reverse mode the camera is ON) but just until I'm out of this menu to normal screen mode (info, music, radio, etc). After that there is no camera reaction on reverse shift stick mode. In the same time, built in LEDs in the camera work fine, mean its powered. I'm confused a little. Maybe, something wrong with iMid adapter which comes with camera, like pins mapping, etc? Will be appreciated for any ideas. I heard in some cases the iMid should be reprogrammed somehow via OBD, is it true? Thanks

bro.... its so hard to watch him pulling apart the dash and thinking omfg thats how its held on.... and i know for a fact the second i go out to my car and try to start pulling the dash apart.... im gonna break something... EVERY TIME i try to pry apart these shit plastic pieces something always breaks lol..... it pisses me off watching this dude pull this shit apart at not break anything.... its gotta be because he has little Japanese fingers and my American fingers are just not made to pull plastic apart :P lol

It would be good to know right from the beginning, that you need to supply and run your two wires from the backup lights to the front. Once that was clear the rest of the install was relatively easy. I'd give this video an 8/10 otherwise.

It looks as though that information window now only defaults to either your back up Camera and the time. Am I correct in assuming that installing this will cause you to lose the other information windows? Thanks!

You got rip off. 😂That kit is expensive. Like around $130. Lol. I would use that to get the swc1 axxcess steering control instead. Plus you need a back up camera. It’s really not that hard I did mine and I didn’t need to use a wiring harness kit. All you need to do I tap 2 wires to the imid. I spend $25 reverse camera from amazon …. And some wires.
