zhlédnutí 242Před 2 lety
This is a video of teaching a formerly pushy spitting animal to back. I was brand new to using a clicker and food reinforcers and I couldn't believe how this animal who would normally spit all over me figured out how to work for food and once she got that she stopped spitting almost entirely.

This is absolutely amazing! I recently purchased two alpacas and theyre so scared of me i feel awful. I need them to accept halters so they can go to pasture. Thanks for this video and demonstration!
HI Brittany, Thanks for the lovely comments. Keep in mind it is not only the tools but skill in using them. I see that you have purchased the courses that is a superb start!
Compro Alpacas
Красатули альпаки мои солнышки. Я вас обожаю
You can see, near the beginning, where the llama says, "hey! You're doing that on purpose!"
good observation!
Boy, she learned really quickly!
she was a savant!
Thank you, great video! Love your halters! Hope to see more videos from you in the future!
Thank you so much!
Красивые ламы.
Her instruction and methodology in the intro should be taught everywhere and is just as applicable to human psychology on every level
thank you so very much for that wonderful comment!
Max is still alive and well! He remains difficult to handle, but is generally happy with life and we get along. He gets to stay with my dairy goat to keep his weight up. Thank you, Marty, for all you've done for us!
My pleasure!
thank you! I will try this. Do you have another video on working with the back feet? We have kickers.
If you work so that the weight is on the foot that you are working with until you pick it up the animal can't kick if their weight is on the foot. You manage that with a hand on the back
You have opened up a whole new peaceful World working with my alpacas! I thoroughly recommend this to everyone!
thank you so much!!!!
That was fun!
Wow what a birthday!
This really needs new audio to explain it (for people who've never been there). Marty has panels set up as a "temporary barn" that can be rearranged very easily. This way, when something like a corridor is needed -as is here, for the scale- she can unstrap and unhinge and rearrange the panels!
great system!
