B&W Film "Before and After"
A 61 year puzzle corrected. The original print was physically fine. No warpage, no stressed sprocket holes, nothing out of the ordinary. The rest is explained in the video.

Here's a great show that was taped at Schwoegler's Park Town Lanes, Madison, WI in 1991. With all star pros, Marc McDowell, Randy Pederson, Curtis Odom. Hosted by Paul Rudy, with Dan Schowegler as Annalist. This is the show where Randy Peterson picks up the 7-10 split. Used with permission from the show's producer.

This is a rare COLOR print of an episode of Championship Bowling from 1967. Hosted by Jack Drees. Sorry for the poor color but this print was completely faded to red. But I was able to bring some of the colors back.

This is a very rare film produced for The Studebaker Company as a soft sell ad. That was shown in movie theatres. Once thought to be lost. This print turned up a couple of years ago.

The Haunted Ship - Van Beuren Studios (1930)

From IMDB: Waffles the Cat and Don the Dog are traveling through the air in their small plane when a black raincloud suddenly storms above them, issuing a man-shaped lightning bolt that chases them. The pair end up crashing into the ocean where they meet a singing walrus wearing a top hat. He is only a hint of the strange things to come. They eventually enter a sunken ship marked "Davy Jones", ...
The Death Ray - Harry Grindell Matthews (1924)

From IMDB: 'The Death Ray' is not a comedy: it's a documentary film of what purports to be an actual demonstration of a genuine invention. Unfortunately, we'll never know how much of what occurs here is authentic science, and how much is hoax or outright fraud.UPDATE: I'm appending this addendum (or addending this appendum) three years after my original IMDb review. In the intervening time, I'v...
Bowling Is Fun 1952
zhlédnutí 1,7KPřed 7 lety
Bowling Is Fun is a very early bowling TV show. This video is mastered from a very rare film print known as a Kinescope. These were made by aiming a film camera at a TV monitor. This was the only way to save a live show before video tape. Fred Wolf does a great job dealing with the contestants who compete for silver dollars and lots of cheezy prizes.

Loving this soooooo hot!! ❤❤❤😊😊😊
fucking ho got the whole orchestra up in that guy's crib lmao
Couldn't they use some modern editing techniques to fix some of the jitteriness and sound problems at the beginning?
It might be possible since scanners have improved. I have a sprocket less scanner now. However I haven't tried yet.
Uh, did she say "honey" in the commercial? All this racism today and bla bla. Yet, seems like modern educators are warping history. Each time.i see new stuff from the 30s, racism is rarely to be found.
Thanks for the memories of the world pioneers of Our sport❤ revisted May 12 2024❤❤❤❤
gen x the start of it all before the king and the mop heads swing is where its at
Boomers mentality
Newport is black ppl cigarettes now
6:03 when Kents give you mesothelioma from the Blue Asbestos in the micronite filter
Dying was cool back then
smokers are the stupidest people on earth
its like nothing changed
also why are some people carrying submachine guns
Yeah it’s refreshing and coool until you feel a lump in the back of your throat
A really short approach compared to today's alleys. Those AMF machines must be pre 82 30s which I believe were first approved by the ABC in '63. (Correct me if I'm wrong).
AMF 82-30 started 1955
@@user-ch2px8sb9g I'm just going by the CZcams video showing 63 as being the first year approved by the ABC.
when the whole band comes out XD so funny. cab calloway had sooo much drip.
What my mind is thinking watching these commercials being a smoker myself is ... this is not just one cigarettes is a lifetime of addiction ... they were selling an innocent cigarette packet that was a daily packet for years until the person decides to quit ... its filthy habit
What a spectacular promotion. A lot of work went into that giant Champion, wonder what became of it?
Now the imbeciles are vaping, drinking energy poison, eating washing tablets, inhaling mace, drinking themselves into a stupor etc etc etc, but don't even look at a cigarette whatever you do because it's really bad for you 🤡🥱🙄
Back when Americans had much better health than today.
They tasted great, but if you smoke enough of them, they'll kill you! Their kinda like coffin nails, the more you smoke of them, the more coffin nails you'll get for your box☠☠☠☠☠
The ads have effect, I want to smoke right now.
The Original Morris Day
These are awesome. They're a piece of American history. Thank you for smoking.
I'm lucky to have grown up in the 60's. Everyone had so much class, they dressed and behaved with dignity. It was nothing like today, where spectator's ass cracks are showing and they start screaming before the bowler gets to the foul line.
We haven't seen these commercials In years, yet the jingles are so familiar
Please stay with me and we can watch it in the house safely 💞
White people. Lots of white people.
Uncontroled capitalism is flat out demonic.

OMG KENT cigarettes! My grandma smoked Kents 100s... Far back as I can remember she always had a Kent in her hand... I don't think I've even seen a pack of Kents since we lost her back in 2008
No wonder people smoke
Wow . I came to Sydney Australia October 1956 as student migraten of 12 years old to my grandparents . Afterwards in 1960 I watched the ten pin bowling game on TV . It took me until 1964 to go bowling after I got my first car to go around from bowling centre to other . In 1967 I won the roll off invational Tournament to bowl against the world champion Dick Weber at Rushcutter bowl Sydney Australia . Regrettably I got in business and got married in 1970 . My life has changed to business and Family which was wrong in hindsight . I should've stayed with Ballroom dancing and especially the game of Ten Pin Bowling .
Jesus, Ive always hated smoking. It makes everything stink - you dont even have to mention the death sentence of cancer by smoking - the smell is just disgusting.
Kool ball return..
I feel like Chris Brown should star in a movie about Cab Calloway. He’s got the same skin tone, he’s tall and can dance well enough to convey it. If they can just cover up his tattoos. Lol
I remember Winston tastes good like a cigarette should Tariton smokers would rather fight than switch LLLLLLLucky filters Come to where the flavor is
Needless to say with those lane conditions they were hardly any 200 average bowlers back then. I'm kind of stuck in the early urethane era on wood lanes. Great pin action but you had to work for it still.
Were people really such stupid suckers back then? Oh, yes.
"Probably the all time leader with 15 300 games". Today they throw 15 300 games in just one league night!!!
I worked at a bowling alley back in the late 70s i was cranking the ball without a thumb in the ball carrying a 190 avg
These people are all so happy and cool. I hope they don’t die of lung cancer. 🤞
Wow, the game sure has changed. No real spin on those balls at all. And guys have an unusual delivery - five or six steps or more.
The Ballantine beer ad was exquisite
Jean Goldkette orch. was popular on records. Victor Young had an orch. and was prominent in the music world for several decades. My late dad told me about that huge Stude. He was 13 when it was built. Stude had a large proving ground on top of Bendix Hill. It is west of So.Bend on Hwy. 2. You cannot miss it as it is the only hill around.LOL. My grandpa worked at Stude's from '43 to '56. Had several different duties. One was hanging doors. Adtef Studebaker and a dozen other companies left,So.Bend, sucked!
Just noticed the harp...better this has to be better than the Spectacles in The Great Gatsby!
Oh this is so nice! I want to pick the wild flowers too...especially with the dreamy songs. Thank you.,I'll have mine in Cafe Crème please..
... I shared, and thus forwarded this clip to our local Studebaker Drivers Club ...
Ooooooh for ONE MORE GAME. they left me wanting MORE. one of them, if not both, were about to bowl a 300. WHAT A MATCH
Very interesting. When a company back then wanted to attract your attention to their product, they didn’t just shout at you about how great it is! When I watched this, I had to go back and watch that first music number a couple more times. I thought one of the violinists was Jack Benny. The camera focuses in on this fellow with glasses, and he mugs a bit for the camera. Now I’m pretty sure it wasn’t Benny. The fellow looks sorta like Benny did when he was 50 or so, but when this film was made Benny was about 30 and actually a handsome young man.
