We miss her, too. Brett.
Thank you! That warms my heart that the Lord used this music to draw you to Himself! It was a wonderful time to travel and sing! God bless your walk in Him.
Excellent : What tuning is that ? Dropped Double D , Open D, DADGAD! Beautiful Acoustic Guitar! Thanks! 🦘💙!
Thanks! Drop-D tuning.
Thank you for this compilation I really will enjoy it🙏❤️
You're welcome 😊
Lovely, Bill.
nice
Thank you for bringing the great Sound of Music back to life to remind us of Hope & Dream the world need after the period of hardship past present or future.
I have this album and The Designer, On the Road and People Get Ready and a Christmas album what a joy to have John Burch as a choir teacher in 1979- 1980.
John Burch was my choir teacher in Shelton Wshington in 1979-1980 and I purchased 4 of Spiritbornes albums and we even did a concert in his hometown of Silverton Oregon.
have this album when John Burch was my choir teacher in Shelton Washington in my sophmore year in high school 1979-1980!!
yes memories of Spiritborne
Jesus looks like one of the Jonas Brothers.😊😊
😄
Cool song ❤
so wonderful to remember Spirotborne and John Burch my choir teacher in 1980❤
Beautiful playing and composition!
Glad you like it!
So peaceful, nice!
See its vastly different than Led Zeppelins STAIRWAY to heaven ! Both share as many other songs over the history of music a delicate few cords .... however Mr.Page goes on his merry own way in his piece . Accompanied by 3 other most remarkable Musicians creating a quite rememberable composition that is sO much more than the initial strums of the strings. ,
Spirit !
Stairway to Heaven, I prefer Escalator to Hell...😂
Thats a one way escalator, my friend
@@John3_16-17 I'm not delusional, I already know I'm going to hell. I also don't regret the things I have done, I'm actually surprised that I'm still alive.
Tf did you do
@@MightySamoht youre not delusional, thay is correct. But im here to tell you that you dont have to go to hell. You may not have remorse now, but you will once youre there. God has instead given you a free gift of salvation and life through faith in Jesus Christ. Perhaps my words mean very little to you, but it is because i love you as you are made in the image of God that i tell you this. I'll be sure to pray for you and help guide you to the truth as best as I can. I dont have all the answers, but i know what God has done for me and what He will do for you if you let Him
@@capsyy pretty much anything the military allows.
That's a pretty tune 😊
Wow I love acoustic guitar ❤
Beautiful Bill. Well done!
Beautiful
thank you for sharing my friend
LOVE this song
I have this Album and John Burch was my choir teacher in my school in Shelton WA from 1979-1980!!😀
Around 1970, I heard about Ken Medema. He had just published his first album, "Fork in the Road." I bought a copy (on vinyl) and almost wore the grooves off of it. I got to meet him twice. He's still doing music in 2023!He's a former music therapist and has been called the "Christian Stevie Wonder." I wrote my master's thesis on analogy. Wouldn't it be interesting if the closest analogy we have as to how the universe works were: Love? Give me your thoughts.
Our analogies will always fall short, but they are all we have in our attempt to try and comprehend what God's eternal love might look like.
Thank you forcrecording this, Bill.
I grew up listening to Spiritborne, and this song was always my favorite. I still have my family’s stack of LPs. My dad (Ken Dunmire) might have even taken this cover photo. I know he did some of the group’s photography.
That's great to hear! The cover shot on this album was taken by my brother, Bob, in July 1977, a couple months before we left on fulltime tour. There were multiple iterations of Spiritborne (originally Joyful Noise) during the 1970s and 1980s. This album covered 1977-1978. What time frame was your dad involved with the group?
@@bhouglum He wasn’t involved with the group. He was the campus photographer at PLU.
@@bhouglum I just dug out my old albums. It was the Glory Be to God album where my dad is credited with "liner photo." I remember thinking that it was cool that his name was on there. :)
@@KarenBarnettAuthor Thanks for letting me know. That is the one album I do not have in my possession anymore. I was thinking the name sounded familiar but could not place it. BTW- I think I was the first member of Spiritborne that did not attend PLU. ;-)
@@bhouglum Cool! I know they started out of PLU and then branched out from there. I have several of the old vinyl records. If you're interested, I could probably make myself a digital copy and send the originals your way. They're just gathering dust with me. :) I have The Joyful Noise: Bring a Friend, One Way, Spiritborne: There's a Reason, Glory Be to God, The Designer, Prepare Ye the Way, and Spiritborne Live. I also have two from other groups--probably connected to PLU--Cornerstone and Just a Branch. Thank you (and the rest of the group) for helping to build my faith. I went on to be in several college groups and LYE in the 80s-90s and now write Christian fiction. Those albums definitely helped shape me as a kid. I listed to them over and over. Particularly the Live album.
Cello 👏🏻. Love this gospel hymn w/cello 👍🏻
This is beautiful! One of my favorite sacred Lenten pieces.
Beautiful melancholy piece. Random fan 😔
Thank you. Needed to comfort and uplift me today. I so remember you all from our OSLC time together
What a beautiful way to welcome the sweet Spirit of the Lord into each place that is close to our hearts!
Such a great song , one of my favorites and you did it well !!! Thanks!
Thanks!

So crazy to hear my mom’s flute solos again, I’ve missed them.
We are all the woman at the well.
✨ Merry Christmas!!! ⛵️⛵️⛵️
Thank you Jesus and Glory to God. Spritbourne, more than anyone or anything led me to Christ. My family have enjoyed their music since the 1970s. Grace and peace to everyone who participated in this ministry

I am not sure how to send private messages on CZcams either... not willing to post my personal contact info here. Search for me on Facebook and send a private message that way. ;-)
Something will be coming in the mail shortly.
In the 70s, they came to my church. These young people have such a strong ministry that 45 years later it moves me to tears still.
Blessing my heart over and over again.
