3:33 is where the best melody begins for me. I have set the timer to always begin here as it makes me feel some nostalgia and the best dance moves starts at 4:38
I remember seeing this dance for the first time when I was a kid, it scared the shit out of me. The physical strength used to tap your foot on the ground to make rythmes is outstanding
je suis tombé amoureux de cette danse tout petit, j’étais éblouie et fasciné.. j'aime nos traditions ici pays.. c'est la de que viendra nos conquêtes du monde..
Proud Dance group and well presented by the Njihgang Dance Group. This is a quarter in Bamendankwe village located in Bamenda, Capital of Northwest Cameroon. You can still find such group also with almost same dancing style called ASELEMA, they have very good dance styles and can animate your occasion that you will never forget in life. You can contact them through their coordinator Jing Fedelis
This Dance Group is from Bamendankwe (Bamenda 1) Northwest Cameroon. Special Dance from the Fon`s Palace called Tamukung. The rhythm and meaning of the song goes Atunsiri build his house and slept outside. Its a death celebration rhythm which means you are dead and instead of lying in the house you built, you are lying but outside at the backyard beneath 6 feet.
Thanks very much for this explanation. We have a similar dance group in Ndu called Mkung and the rythm and the song goes similar to what you just explained. very similar cultures.
Amazing ❤
