Thank you. For a digital instrument, it has some nice broad strings and flutes to really round out the tone.
Such a sturdy hymn with great text. Add to that a great sounding organ - like the registration changes and the Picardy third at end - kind of a sure hope of victory over som, death and the devil.
One of my favorites, not utilized nearly enough. A well-written hymn that speaks to the Church militant and points ahead to the Church Triumphant.
I’ve been a Lutheran, my whole life the Lutheran Church has the most beautiful music. This is such a beautiful sign for a large Jesus who suffered so badly for us. Thank you Jesus amen.

This is one of those hymns that we don’t sing that often in our congregation; however, it’s one of my favorite Lenten hymns. I would have to say A Lamb Goes Uncomplaining Forth is my favorite Lenten hymn.

When I was confirmed this was the hymn my class processed in to.
Awesome! We don’t have a dedicated processional hymn, but we do use Let Us Ever Walk with Jesus as the Confirmation hymn during the Rite of Confirmation.
At one church where I was a member this hymn was used at every service with a baptism. Then, when a former pastor's wife had her funeral, this was sung then too
This was one of the four hymns at my mother's funeral She loved playing hymns with flats, and this one had five.
As do I, the worst key ever is E-major.

This hymn was used as the Young Life Olympics Anthem in 1990 at Woodleaf for the Escondido Group, it eventually would end up in the 1996 Young Life Song Book under the Praise/Adoration section.

This beautiful hymn I learned as a child. Now I am a senior of 83 and the hymn has a different meaning.
We sing the first and last stanzas at bedtime in our house. Gerhardt beautifully ties a bedtime prayer to the saints who have fallen asleep awaiting that glorious day of The Resurrection.
This is one of the best hymns ever written; very easy to get it wrong if you rush the chords. Best to take it a little slower so we can hear the beauty of it. Good job still.
