Real waste not doing any scanning while you were staying here.
Yes if there speaking in English and if you get caught in Egypt with scanner your be in sh🙏t street. You imagine it getting put into in prison in Egypt on spy charges. You lost me. A less crap radio? The Uniden sds100 is the best digital scanner on the market to date. The weather conditions outside was not good and i not sure how far the ham radio stations was from me and i do not live in the city as well.

I just got that scanner a few days ago,, having audio issues with it.. and some receive channels will not come in clear..
ICOM R30 is the Cadillac of Receivers for VHF Air and MILAIR. Uniden and Whistler are piss poor Receivers for AIR BAND.

UK Police use secure encrypted TETRA network, I'm a serving PC. Also, it's funny how these "UK Police" all have american accents and say "Code 2", given that the UK does not use response codes, we use grades, America on the other hand uses codes....

I'm pretty sure it's secure from the traditional means of eavesdropping, i.e a radio scanner like how you'd listen to US police forces, obviously with the actual software used it's possible, but not as easily and in the same manner either.
Tetra uk can be captured and decoded but not live. You have to run decrypt then playback but this only takes -10 minutes. You don't have to decrypt natively either. All I could really say is a man with many hands can greet a lot of people is always ready to accept an extended greeting. But you have to be one of them to get in the door in the first place. In the same way some people do their laundry.
