One of the sisters was interviewed a few years ago. She stated that, unfortunate as it is, as they begin to pass away, they would still takes a portrait of three, than two.....until one is left. THAT would be dramatic and beautiful. So, to the surviving Brown sisters, keep your word. :) What you did with these photos is THE "Human Interest Story" of the past 50 years. :) :)

This is beautiful. No one loves you, understands you, will fight every battle you have- no matter the war you're in, like your sister. I lost my baby sister, only sibling, unchallenged best friend and the very mate to my soul, five years ago. I thought trying to figure out how to survive in a world without her was going to kill me… at times, so many times, I stopped caring if it did. Anything, including death, seemed better than the gut-wrenching pain that replaced my sister as my constant companion. It was inescapable. There was no reprieve... even in sleep, my heart hurt and I sobbed as I was tortured by nightmares of the days leading up to her death. It was a miserable existence and I am completely confident that I owe my survival to my daughter. If I hadn't had her to live for, to take care of, instead of getting up from laying on my sister's grave to cry like I did so often, I would've stayed there... willed my broken heart to stop beating and my devastated mind to shut down. Fortunately, I had a child waiting, trusting that "Mommy" wouldn't leave for very long, that I would come home. So I did. It took a very long time for me to stop resenting the sun for coming out every morning and to stop being so angry at the world for continuing to turn because in *my* world, a bomb I never saw coming had detonated and I just couldn't imagine learning how to keep living among the pieces. I did though. I still miss her. God how I miss her! There are days, especially around the anniversary of her death, when the grief is suffocating, but they are finally far enough apart that I can think about her and smile or remember some silly inside joke we shared and laugh instead of cry over the injustice of her death and the light that permanently went out in my life... in the world, though it doesn't know it, when she left. I have no idea why I was compelled to write so much on a CZcams video I randomly saw. When my sister was sick, before I knew she wasn't going to make it, I read something a commenter had written on another site about losing her sister. I remember thinking how strong she was, that she was still able to breathe and think coherently after losing her sister because I could never endure that. Maybe that's what led me to leave a novel on this video of these four sisters who are so blessed to have had such long lives together? Maybe I'm writing for the other sisters who, like me, weren't so fortunate, whose best friend and champion and constant confidant was taken from them much too soon and now they're left wondering how they'll ever go on without her? If that is you, dear sister, I am so truly sorry for your loss. I know it's unbearably hard right now and I wish I could tell you you'll feel better soon… but we sisters owe each other the truth, don't we? The truth is you're going to be miserably broken and devastated and furious and so utterly lost for a while ...and that's ok. It's ok to take your time and grieve the way you need to. I promise, eventually, the sun will dawn upon a day where you don't feel overwhelmed with guilt that you're here to feel it's warming rays when your sister is not. A night will come when you're able to dream of her instead of being tortured by visions of her death. You'll celebrate a holiday and instead of weeping over her absence, you'll smile as you make her favorite dish. I know it seems impossible , but I promise, those days are coming. Until then, you still have a sister in this world that cares about you. I can't take the place of your sister, nor you mine, but I'll be here... sending you love... praying for your peace and strength. You're grieving because she's gone, and that's ok... just make sure you live a life worth telling her about when you see her again.🩷
