Do I really need to use a sage stick for smudging? Can I use culinary sage leaves (the sage leaves used in cooking), or a homegrown sage from my garden? My favorite method is to heat a charcoal in a fire-proof bowl and sprinkle culinary sage leaves and use it for smudging my crystals and my room.

I'm so blessed to be surrounded by land that provides this sacred plant naturally. I grew my own last year which was amazing, those plants were buddies and we built a bond lol but.. there's something so special about harvesting naturally , provided by the land on its own.
