Looks great after the weight reduction and repaint. After sanding with very fine, 600 or higher grit sand paper, try 'Future Floor Polish' if you can get it. Another product is 'Looks Like Glass' from Deluxe Products. Another other is to use clean soda/pop bottle plastic, PETG, to heat shape. The styrene plasitic used in a lot of food packaging is a pain to try to heat to shape.

Very nice work 👍 The trick to get nice transparent resin parts is to sand them really smooth (wet sanding using very fine grit sandpaper) and then apply a clear coat to remove fogginess and give their transparency back.

Hope your mom gets better soon.😊 Was going to suggest you try Hanji or rice paper to cover holes. You need a vacuum to ensure plastic conforms to mold. 😊
