@lukeaddison96 not sure if you know him or not but suellio almeida a sim coach/ now IRL driver has a video recently on being less aggressive to avoid instances like this Doing what you did in the game is what he ended up doing IRL and it cost him p1 He realized if he would have been less aggressive it wouldn't have cost him Because your consistently fighting soo hard for that one extra place that one extra second or few tenths it can cost you more places and more time Less aggressive and more smooth/chillax can be your saving grace you should 100% check out his last video and you will see what I mean!! Completely changed my outlook on driving because I've always been the same way I am now much much less aggressive in my league racing and it's cost me much less frustration, in my old days I would have done what you did stay pinned and pray because you have the right away...today I would have lifted and saved any trouble Cheers boss!! 👌🏼

@@Chrisx093 yeah completely understand and definitely take more caution depending on the conditions and situation but sometimes you can’t control other people’s mistakes and their awareness and all you can do is adjust your own and in that place at that time I got yeeted a different potential result each time depending on what I do and others around me but also especially in esports races you can’t give an inch otherwise people take a mile. You’ll see the short I upload tonight how cautious but risky it can get because you want more because it’s lap 1 and generally that’s where you gain the most when everyone’s pace is within a tenth and IRL you can afford to risk less because it isn’t as competitive as esports sim racing.

How? Please elaborate. Because the driver behind him was definitely late on the brakes, while carrying too much speed also. Brakes on, brakes off and into the corner they go. He had very little asphalt left to slow down before entering that corner. So how could he possibly get on the brakes too early in this situation? I'm curious.
