Harumaki Gohan made a song to celebrate 10 years of being a Vocaloid producer that came out just the other day, so naturally I had to make an AMV with as many Harumaki Gohan MVs that I could fit in!
I jumped onto translating this 10th anniversary song the day it came out! It's a beautiful song about not being feminine, and projecting femininity onto created characters as a means of self-expression. About how that sort of insecurity ended up turning into something beautiful in its own way. As a cis woman who also doesn't feel as feminine as I'd like to sometimes, drawing cute characters is very cathartic in the same way, so this song struck a chord. Harumaki Gohan's previous songs have also resonated with me and many others as well, in a reassuring "I know how it feels" kind of way.
So in short this AMV is very self-indulgent. (Though pretty much everything on this channel is as well lol)
As usual, I hope this reaches those who are fans of this, since specific portions are done in such a way to fit as well as they can in both meaning and meta (ex: having Seventina as the catharsis of the last chorus bc the main character also creates a character to channel themselves through)
