using windows, the tns file is kept in the correct path. But still when try to login to login the same tns error is coming in the oracle PL/Sql, the file with the tns name isnt able to fetch the data i.e the tns file is blank. How do we save the tns file in the pl/sql application.

How can we remove only oracle binaries not a database. In that case if i have removed binaries only still my database will work or not.

Sir i have primarh and standby database. Primary database name is didfferent from secondary so I have changed paramter file accordingly. But when nomount pfile; it is giving me one ora error of can not create audit trial file and one lrm error of permission denied. What to do?

I am learning Oracle DB XE on Windows 7 machine where I installed it without errors but I did not succeed in connecting to the DB. Then I tried to logon to DB on Oracle DB Developer VM and succeeded on creating users and products. I still want to use SQL developer with 18c on Windows machine because SQL Developer on VM allows me to logon to HR function only. When I run "more /etc/oratab" on the terminal it is "FREE:/opt/oracle/product/23c/dbhomeFree:Y". It is not showing 18c which is installed on WIndows 7. What should I do? Thanks
