She's already got other artists paying attention to her talents. She's a dynamo for sure. The sound quality ain't too bad here, but could be much better. Pretty sure that this video was one of the video guys from in back of the audience at Carnegie and the sound isn't piped into any mixing board, just coming from one of those profession type video cameras. There were at least 7 pro video guys in back of the audience video taping this concert that I noticed. Ed's video, that some have mentioned gives more perspective on the acoustics of Carnegie. Although it was on his phone so viewers can't really appreciate it the sound for what it really was. But believe me the sound quality was electric in that theater. Really enjoy these reactions of Courtney from you.

And as noted elsewhere, an integral complement to her vocal performance is Courtney's stage mastery.

His song called Shibuya has a bit of a different sound from his usual stuff but it’s still good in my opinion. It’s also a bit repetitive as he says the same line about 4 or 5 times

She's simply special. What I hope for her future though is for people to stop making and hoping for covers, and instead let her original work shine. Her career to date is known for mostly covers. This performance made perfect sense, and awesome she was the invite to sing a Janice song because "they" knew no one could do it better. She owns every cover she does, but she's too good to be doing covers at this stage of her career. Down the road, sprinkle a cover or two in.

If you only like old Metallica then you must surely love Death Magnetic? I think people that don't are just being stubborn. It's literally a second Justice.

Incredible quality of video, but there is a longer version, with just as good quality which someone has linked in the messages below. Courtney is INCREDIBLE, whichever version, pouring her heart and soul into the performance. Most modern singers don't do that, and thusly are forgettable, unlike this fabulous young lady.

nice reaction to a wonderful presence on stage! I would never, ever expect, but I would sure desire her performances to be delightful. I think expectations put too much pressure on such a lovely and wonderful person, as Courtney is.

Always frustrated that her cover of Otis Redding's posthumously released 'Hard to Handle' for her AGT audition, and the fact that she followed Ms. Etta James' lead in using adapted lyrics for a woman's point of view, all get lost in the 'Golden Buzzer' hype. This kid really gets the history. She learns from the best, then reimagines it and performs it HER way. Love that.

Hi Bob. What an incredible performance by Courtney. If you watch the conductor, rather than Courtney (which is hard when she just nailed the song), the conductor sneaks a long peak at Courtney's performance instead of remaining focused on his musicians. The look on his face says it all. The same can be said for the guitarist. Let's be real. If you were on stage, 15 feet away from this magnificent performance, how could you not help but sneak a peak. It's not very often that you get to hear the voice of a lifetime. It was mind boggling hearing her live. Take how great she sounds digitally, multiply it by ten, and that gives some sense of how she sensational she sounds live. Courtney shared the stage with many all time greats tied to Clive like Barry Manilow, Dionne Warwick, John Mellencamp and many more. The New York Pops released this 2+ minute clip of her performance. It now has over two million views (along with 2.6M on TikTok). By far the most views of any video the New York Pops has released since they started posting in 2014. Too bad they didn't release the whole thing, because Courtney's full performance was spectacular. So far it's the only individual performance that the Pops have released from the concert. Kind of says something about how fabulous they thought it was.

Not sure what all this is about but its funny and what I love about it most is they are having fun. I think nobody is there because it is just a rehearsal and just their staff is there because they usually pack every place they play in Japan.

From an interview with Matsuri - Was your family environment a factor in how you got into music? Matsuri: There was. My father used to play the bass guitar. Also, we had a kind of kid's guitar at home, I think it was my experience of strumming it for fun that influenced me. - So music has been around you since you were a child. Matsuri: That's right. My father and mother both liked music, and they also really liked the music of bands. So I became interested in guitar, and for a while I was sent to a kind of kids' guitar school when I was in elementary school. My parents saw me playing with the guitar at home and asked me if I wanted to try it. I said, "I'll go! I said, "I'll go! So I said, "I'll go!" It was an electric guitar class, and they taught me the very basics, like how fun it is to play the guitar. Matsuri: That's right (laughs). So the music I like is almost the same genre as my father likes.

Nightwish is something else, not only a band, but much more. You cannot put it in a box and tell; here is Nightwish and they play symphonic metal. Tuomas Holopainen not only creates music, but he is a great poet too, a poet who touches our deepest feelings together with his music, and of course with really talented musicians. Always an incredible journey. Love it more every time I watch it. The mix comment is common, but after it was explained they wanted Floor to just be at the top of a choir of voices of our ancestors singing from the past, it stopped bothering me. Yes, I agree about the little nuggets in the video. Nothing is unintentional - he is a mastermind. For instance, I think they picked 400 years to show lineage because one of the whales shown can live 400 years, so in its lifetime over 4000 of our ancestors lived, loved, and died. Visuals were incredible - I had to look up the free diver, Guillaume Nery. What a beautiful beast he is under water. When still, he can hold his breath up to 8 minutes under water, providing some of those glorious shots. 😊 Maybe more impressive is his wife also holds her breath to film him! Profound & inspiring song. You are because of a million loves.

I wonder why Chika is the only one who ever seems to smile. If I were having their level of success, at their young age, you'd need a crowbar to get the smile off my face!
