I have this microwave and need to change the fuse can you help with that? I don't know where it is located.
Love the simplicity and your video, looks awesome!!!
Looks nice.
Lots of information in 7 minutes no BS 👍
Hi Hamilton, I have the same microwave, I am needing to replace the complete door assembly. I'm not to sure how the door is removed.
Modular home is a whole different ballgame . Box instructions suck , this thing weighs about 400 lbs. . Good for advanced home improvement pros but not for the average Joe .
What a great post. Can i install this same microwave under or over a pantry shelf? There’s a regular power outlet under the shelf.
This is the third video I watched and it is just what I was looking for. Well done, concise and complete. Thanks.
Great job sir, wish you could install mine
These microwaves are to be vented OUTSIDE the house! No point to vent it inside the house!
This particular model is ventless, it just circulates the air.
DANKE!! being an Oldie and coming from a diff. country seeing is better than reading. trust me. so once again: thanks, was a big prof. help!!!
Thank you so much man you made our vision become reality! Subscribing now! 🙌🏻🙌🏻😄
Very helpful! Thank you!
What about vents?
This particular model is ventless
Whirlpool WML55011HS I have had this microwave over a year. One HUGE CRITICISM that made me sorry that I have it. Because of the reduced height in the microwave IT IS VERY EASY TO KNOCK THE GLASS PLATE/TRAY OFF OF THE THRUST DRIVE PEDESTAL! I find this very irritating. Frequently having to realign the wheels in their shallow track and then replace the glass warming tray on the three pronged drive protruding out of the base. A poorly designed unit! I recently discovered two hacks which has helped immensely and thought I would share them. First, the wheeltrack. The Three little wheels MUST BE KEPT CLEAN, AND THE TRACK THE WHEELS RUN IN, ALSO! So be sure to clean the wheels and trackway well whenever cleaning the interior. (btw, a drop of olive oil, etc, on each wheel shaft is helpful.) The biggest hack that I can't believe just occurred to me, is glue the three pronged drive pedestal to the base of the glass warming plate!! This stabilizes the glass tray and all one has to do is lift the tray straight up an inch or so which removes the drive pedestal from the shaft it sits over. The drive shaft has one flat side that must be lined up properly when reassembling the glass plate with the glued on drive pedestal. THIS IS A MUCH MORE SECURE Arrangement and there are many less times the glass tray gets knocked off the pedestal. In fact, I haven't had any more problems with this hack and can easily lift the entire glass tray and glued on drive pedestal for cleaning. I used silicone adhesive I had around, but if it comes loose, I will be using epoxy or light activated super glue next. I hope this helps! BTW, Caveat Emptor. Use these ideas at your own risk, not mine.
Thank a lot, easy to install with your video
does it need a duct for the range ventilation?
It has the option of being ventless
Well done video Pat. Good camera angles helped. Are you still liking the faucet? How long do the batteries last?
As an FYI for those installing a microwave by themselves (like me). I bought a inexpensive scissors lift to bring the unit up to height for mounting (Amazon title "ECLV 30'' Electric Wireless Remote Control Dining Table Coffee Table Lift,Black,110V-240V,Working Platform Computer Desk Electronic Scissor Lift" ). It fits perfectly under the microwave for lifting it up to the proper height for hooking it on the backplate and then lifting it the rest of the way and insert the screws that go into the top. I had to shim it with some wood to get it to lift up to the proper height for my particular installation for my low profile unit (it's unusually high, but then so am I). I also used it to lift the unit from the floor to the counter. I found it was best putting the microwave on it's side for lifting to the counter top. That way I can simply tilt it over on to the lift. It doesn't quite come up to counter top height so I had to lift it the last few inches onto the counter. Still, better than lifting it from the floor and when lifting the microwave into position to hook on and then holding it as you fish the power cord through the hole and put in the screws to hold it into the shelf. That's gotta be rough on the back over the years. The lift holds it in place for hooking and then lifts it up the rest of the way for putting the screws in. Some day I'll use the lift for raising something (like a TV). It even comes with a remote.
Love this!
I just cut a bunch of wood on the miter with some sort of "gunk" on it. I finished that project, then used it until I couldn't stand the smoke. It had been so long since I took the blade off to clean it, I forgot how to get to the guard back to get to the nut. Also, forgot about the reverse thread. Thanks for the refresher! You just saved me $4 or $5 in the swear jar, and who knows how much time.
Very good video. I'm installing one of these microwaves in the very near future and your video has eased my mind alot. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Thanks so much for posting this video. It helped us immensely! We had to go with a bump out and had a back vent to work with, but this helped clarify the basic process. I won't say it was easy as the back vent was poorly installed by the last "professionals" who installed the past two microwaves. Doing the job ourselves gave us an MUCH better product and now I have a fan that actually takes cares of stove top heat and smoke. You made the installation so much easier for us. Thank you!
This is so much clearer than the instructions. It interesting our houses 🏘️ must have been made about the same time because we have the same stud configuration 😃
THANK YOU! Out of all of the 'how-to' videos I've seen over the years online this was one of the best produced, concise and helpful! Might just buy this exact model because of this video!
Awesome Thanks this helps alot, keep it up, Thanks
Thank you so much for the visual. The written instructions were all over the place between recirculating and vented models.
Wow followed exactly what you said and did. 20 min install
Happy Eyes.
You are awesome man! Thank You.
How do you exhaust up the wall and out the attic?
We went with the ventless option
You didn’t exhaust out the back. We need to prep for exhausting out the back, up inside the wall and out through the attic. th wall
We went with the ventless option.
I just got this microwave and I was about to call someone to install it. Thank you for explaining how to use the template!
Dude your taste in music is awesome, love the Jim Croce album, my stepdad had it on cassette when he married my mom in 75 that’s when I became a huge Croce fan. And thank you for designing exactly what I needed for our office
Wow thanks buddy 😄!!!! Amen for you
Thanks for this video! Very helpful being able to visualize the instructions.
Thank you. We were having trouble with the instructions. You made it so easy. Thank you.
Your video was very helpful. I have a Kitchenaid with a very similar mounting bracket. It wasn’t clear to me that the bracket also served as a template to mark mounting holes under the cabinet until I watched your video and then it all made sense. Thank you for a very informative video, I hope kitchenaid takes some clues from you and makes their instructions clearer or better yet encourage new owners to subscribe to your videos ! Thank you !!!
I just picked up this exact model and already read the instructions. Your video just made it way easier. Thanks.
Thank you!!
Could you tell me your cupboard measurements that you were attaching a microwave to?
Loved listening to you Mr Hamilton~I have been looking at low profile microwaves for quite a while. I'm undecided because of it protruding out maybe too far. I want more of my backsplash to show ~ My problem ~ Right? Thank you! A joy to watch your video.
The protrusion has me undecided as well. Did you purchase it? How do you find it?
Awesome presentation, my wife especially enjoyed the neck cameo 🙂
Awesome presentation 👍
Hey Pat great video! Can these low profile microwaves connect to an outlet vent? I see you've installed yours as a recirculating hood. Thanks!
Just installed mine this weekend I had to also install a outlet in the cabinet since this was replacing a hardwire hood was a little nervous about that but it was OK. Just wanted to thank you for the step by step demonstration it helped a great deal. 👍
Thank you for this! Maybe it's because I don't do this for a living, but the instruction manual that came with this microwave is difficult as hell to understand. Your video, on the other hand, is as clear and concise as it gets. Going to get this installed this weekend.
Good instructions, the instructions that came with it were useless
You make it very easy to understand, thanks!
Hamilton! Thanks a ton for this. After reading the instructions over and over I turned to CZcams and found this. Clarified everything and made it so easy! So appreciated!
