The birds were emancipated and exhausted after being knocked off course. They travel from Alaska and Siberia to Bass Straight usually in one go. Some are getting baitfish and recovering but about 2/3 of them are dying, getting pummeled by waves and/or unable to catch the fish as they are so tired.

Thanks for posting this video. This was my first and favorite longboard movie that I watched as a kid in the 90’s. I couldn’t for the life of me remember the name until now. Is the full movie available to stream anywhere, or is tracking down an old VHS copy the only way? Major nostalgia
