My parents have had a house on Wellford since 99. I live in Norfolk and go up at least once a month. I always stop by the store. My kids love to fill the paper bags with candy just like back in the day. I love that place.

Thanks Bill, nice 'walk & talk.' I was just watching the newest Gettysburg 'Battlefield Walks' by the National Park Rangers when I saw your video 'pop up.'' The NPS and the American Battlefield Trust organization also had several about the ribbon cutting ceremony upon the reopening of Little Round Top. YES, they have done an excellent job of renovating it. It looks great now. They really did a great job of restoring the area to look more like what it was like 161 years ago! Also, regarding Cpt Patrick O'Rourke 140th NY and Col Strong Vincent 3rd Bde/1st Div/V Corps, they were among many of the killed during the assault/defense of Little Round top along with notables BG Weed cmdr 3rd Bde/2nd Division/V Corps and 1st Lt Charles Hazlet 5th US Lt Arty Bty . Thanks for the video Bill, you provided a very nice view from the summit and the new renovations. Be well.

A number of the enslaved men around the Chesapeake Bay escaped to British-controlled Tangier Island during the War of 1812, where they were formed into a unit of Colonial Marines who fought in the 1814-1815 amphibious campaign at Bladensburg (burning of DC in response to the US burning what would become Toronto), North Point (Baltimore), and New Orleans.
