Crystals are one of my passions, beginning as a collector and rockhound. However, as a military family we move about every three years; a large crystal collection is difficult and heavy to move. So a few months before another move, in April 2022 I opened Drusy Dreams to de-stash some personal pieces. As items started selling and I began receiving very happy feedback, I began to realize the joy of finding pieces for others, rather than finding them for myself. And so the shop was born. Sharing crystals is my joy. Our main content on this channel are shorts featuring shop updates and featured items, with unboxings and other full-length informational videos. I hope you feel the joy these fabulous pieces contain. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Thank you for the explanation- I had no idea and was just gifted 2 this week.
I'm so happy to help! What a beautiful gift to receive, congratulations! 🤗
Is all of the above aloud? I like them all!!
@@Adom-rb9zo absolutely! I agree, high quality pieces are beautiful, but at the same time some of my very favorites are considered B-grade 😊 Beauty is in the eye of the beholder 😍
While I absolutely love a stunning, perfect, sparkly piece, some of my very favorite pieces are actually B-Grade. Which would you choose?
"un-color treated"? Who wrote the script for this?? 😂 happy Monday y'all 🤪
Mashallah, Good nice
@@Mohsen_r94 thank you! 😊
Black tourmaline is very beautiful 👍 How much price ?
They're about 1.5 Lbs each. In the range of $60-75 😊
@@drusydreams thanks 👍
@@METEORITE_IR you're welcome!
Nice specimen. I have a few nice smoky quartz points in my collection. I recently sold one at Tucson that was 10" and beautiful. Wish we could share photos on youtube. Ive got some real unique pieces some groups, double terminated etc..love your channel
@@COLORADOMINER The longer the better, I bet it was a beauty! Was it a piece you found?
@drusydreams Yes it was ive got several claims in the lake george area in colorado. On a nice pocket now i found last weekend not finished digging it out yet gonna hit it hard on friday.waiting for the work week to end.
Beautiful specimen...I find smoky quartz on my claims in colorado. Hit a nice pocket back in june.
That's awesome! Smoky quartz is my VERY favorite 🤩
That’s cool
She's a beauty! 🤩
I bought some from China and they're really cheap but still amazing. To be honest I can't tell the difference between a real "yooperlite" from lake superior and the ones from China, is it because they're the same thing and the only difference is the place where they're found?
Yooperlite is a beautiful material isn't it? Technically the Chinese stones are the same type of mineral, they are a UV reactive sodalite. The major difference is the locality. However, in my experience I've also seen physical differences - Great Lakes Yooperlites seem to contain a higher concentration of glowing minerals - under UV they have a more saturated speckled appearance. This is just my personal observation. And of course a higher quality Chinese piece may look more similar, and same for a lower quality Great Lakes specimen, it may look more like the Chinese material. Really in the end it's up to you. If you are happy with a Chinese material named after the American materials, that's perfectly fine. The most important thing, in my mind, is that they are marketed correctly. Because to many people, location is important.
The penetrator grew first. I have only heard them called “inner child”. That type of quartz is supposed to be good at helping to heal childhood trauma.
Thank you so much for sharing this! ❤️ That's beautiful!
So you're saying that the only way to purchase an actual Yooperlite has to be in the USA (in my case no overseas shipping) & pay a lot of money in spite of the purchase being from right here in the USA? What about stones made to look like they are real but actually are not glowing but made to glow by blacklight paint ink etc?
If you are looking for a Yooperlite that originates where it got the name, then yes. They come from Michigan. There are similar materials that come from overseas, so one could argue that like Labradorite, the name has become global. A trade name, if you will. But they can also be called by their minerological name - to me, that would be the more correct option. But those names aren't what sell in the overseas markets 🫰😉 They only call it Yooperlite, because they're targeting the US market. In the end, what's really important is how you feel about the stone you aquire. Some care about the origin/name, some don't. Personally, I prefer to know where a stone is from and honoring the heritage of the stone, where it came from and those who mined it. Fakes are just fakes. Lol. If it's painted to glow, for me that's a no 🙅♀️ Like fake Malachite. Unless it's advertised as what it is (plastic, painted, etc), it's dishonest and taking advantage of people.
@@drusydreams I realize all that you said here. But there must be differences in the mineral composition of all these glowing gemstones. I love gemstones for their properties as well as beauty. To display compliment plants as jewelry raw tumbled/ polished etc. So yes I want specifics too. All sodolite glowing stones probably don't have all the same minerals therefore varying metaphysical & healing properties. Also, are there fake glowing stones being marketed as real that some other stone using blacklight ink or paint?
@@septemberraine5067 I agree! Crystals coming from different areas of the world will have slightly different appearances, and I believe it effects the energy as well. There may be slight variation within the mineral composition by location, but to my knowledge nobody has done that detailed of a study on Yooperlite yet. But if you closely compare stones from the different locations there are slight differences - the pattern, UV reactivity, overall color etc. 😊
Why do it look crunchy
Like shredded wheat 🥣
I am from where this is mined lol we called it "tiff" (Southeast MO)
Isn't it amazing how the same mineral can have so many names 😅❤️ That's so cool they can be mined where you live! These are from Morocco 🤗

So far it's the favorite 🤩
I can never pick just one...which would you choose? 🫣
Ugly shape
Thank you so much for this. It was so helpful.
You are very welcome! 🤗
To me, the bird skull looks exactly like Caribbean calcite which happens to be my favorite crystal. I’m absolutely no expert though.
They're VERY often mislabeled, even in big shops. If your pieces have finer crystalization and/or lots of drusy caves they're most likely Aragonite! 😊
Raw or polished? I honestly love both so it's hard to decide. 🤔 What do you think?
Are you sure it's granite (which is a type of igneous rock and does not contain fossils)?
There's a correction at 3:42 😉
@@drusydreams Thanks!
Same stone just different area so no big deal!
Some people don't care. But there are those who do want to know the origin, and if it's important to them that the stone is sourced from the US, where the stone got the name, it's important to be marketed correctly! 😊
Do you have a website so I can look and buy?
Yes! It's www.drusydreams.com. These spheres, as well as some new points and fossils, will be released tomorrow!
Most data is outdated but this is a great paleo video

Ty for the video ❤
You are very welcome! 🤗 Glad it helped!
It’s not sacred if it was cut and polished into the shape you see
I suppose in the end, even the Great Pyramids are just piles of rocks 🔺
Thanks for watching. Have any crystals chosen you? 👇

Isn't green chalcedony the same thing as chrysoprase? Or isn't chrysoprase a green chalcedony? LOL. Maybe different shades of green have different names, or maybe it's the mineral content. I don't know, but I'd love to learn.
Yes! You are absolutely right 😊 Chrysoprase is a light apple green variety of chalcedony! The color is caused by nickel in the stone. Pretty sure there was some on the websites I checked out here 😁
I thought amethysts were purple?
That's right. Vera Cruz Amethyst are a very light lilac color. They're not deep purple like Brazilian Amethyst. 😊
That patterning is beautiful! 😍
Thank you!
Amazing! 😍
Thank you! ❤️

But yooperlite is also found a lot in China
No, it is not. Yooperlite is only found in one place - in Michigan, USA. It is the name given for the material found in that location. If it is found in China, it should be called the mineral name, such as "UV Reactive Sodalite", or whatever the locals call it. To say it is the same as the material found in the USA, just to target the American consumer is dishonest.
This is the problem with calling a mineral that already has a name by a different nickname. This mineral has always been known as fluorescent Sodalite and is found in many places throughout the world. In my opinion it shouldn’t be called yooperlite, amberlite, Firestone, lava stone, sunset stone, or any other name that’s going to confuse people on what this is. Just my opinion 😀
@@blankminded1982 I agree! I do think there's a place for trade names, especially if they honor the location the piece came from, but most markets do not respect that. They just want to sell so they give it a name we'll buy. Most sellers are not educated on proper names, unfortunately, which lends to the problem. Education is key!
So would this apply for labradorite.... Since most comes from Madagascar now....
@@andrewhannam. It's the same idea. Names like this have taken over so pervasively that it's probably impossible to change, but if people are at least aware of where the name comes from I think that's most important! Feldspar and Albite doesn't sell as well as "Labradorite" 😊
