Hi! Yes Im a year late, no that doesnt mean I cant comment. The blue stuff you saw, is called “sculk”. The shrieking was to tell you the monster that spawned. (The blue one). It is called the “warden” and its blind so it cant see you, but it can hear you, so thats why you shouldn’t try make noise. The “sculk” can give you xp by mining it with a hoe. Hope this helps :)
