Why do the instructions explicitly instruct the user to remove the foil tab by pulling it off (along with a little graphic showing this)? The foil tab has been removed and the cartridge has been inserted. However in some of the instructional material, the foil tab is clearly never removed and now I'm left wondering whether the product is broken without the foil tab. Help?

same issue - so, same questions as below, if I have removed the foil tab as the instructions tell you to, will it still work? And still confused as to which way round - so - the side of the tab which has the square pad fully encased in the plastic cover should be facing towards the front of the unit i.e outwards towards the room? And why isn't it rotated to one side as depicted, is this ok?

I’ve just bought this and I’m confused about how to insert the cartridge - the instructions say to remove the foil tab, but it doesn’t look like this was done here? And which way round should the cartridge go, with the square pad facing outwards or inwards?

I bought the set plus 2 refills however I don't know if it is working. How do you know it works? It has no switch, no light, no sound, nothing. What should it indicate that it is turned on? Is it supposed to have a scent? I don't smell any. I have been using it for 9 hours now since I unboxed it. No changes in their behavior yet. I would want them to lessen meowing, especially during the night. As of now, they are still loud. Will that gradually lessen over time?

I have 2 male Ocicats that continue to fight after using feliway optimum for 2-3 weeks.

How long does it take for cats to calm down. We have had it for 2 weeks and do not see any change in fighting between 2 males.

When none of the commenters understand cats and think this is a 100% cure-all for their problems... This isn't a fix--you use it in tandem with behavioral modification targeting the root of the issue. It's an aid, not a bandaid.

So does this spray when plugged in? Don’t really want it staining any of my shelves or electronics
