I'm 53 and still playing gigs making $$ . I make more on Gigs , T shirts ,CD's than Spotify and the music sites .
You look great for 51 (in 2019) I would think you were about 38.
George Harrison was only 27 when the Beatles broke up. Amazing.
Hello there is a big problem in your CZcams channel. That's why views and subscribe are not improving
IT IS TRUE age, fear, "feeling too old for (fill-in blank for your circumstance)" - are not real aspects of our universe! Age does not exist. So, learn what only you are here to do. To identify if a thing like being a fuller musician is your purpose right now - as in, a musical form or job at ANY AGE - it's oddly easy. In order to be able to accurately decide to pursue any thing, define and decide who you are and what specifically-you can willingly do. You can do it by following simple steps: 1. Find a place you will more likely than not be left in peace at a minimum-30 minutes. 2. Consider the thing you've been considering an awful lot about these days by considering it never existed - not even a little - throughout your life. Then consider it never existing in a next life. 3. Without over-rationalizing any thought that comes to mind answer - as simply as possible - the question, "Would I still exist without it?" If "Yes" is the answer, you're onto a life-helping answer. If "No" is your answer, you're also onto a living solution. 4. For "Yes" answerer: Are you certain your universe can sustain forever (as it has) without this personal idea/thing/interest ever existing? If so, how ably would it exist without it? If you wish, in the upper Search box, copy/paste " universe-sustaining-laws plus their humanely-uplifting-forms " 5. For "No"-er answerer: If all of life might suffer even some without the thing existing - the thing, that us, that you're trying to make a decision about in order to make your next move - be assured it IS an essential part of your (and all) reality. So, go ahead. Invest more of who you are at your core into it, depending, of course, on your own circumstances as a whole. It will uplift you and all LIVING (as opposed to dying) humans & beings around you. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
what do you mean by a career? i'm 79 and i'm in 2 bands. one band is a six piece with 2 girl vocalists plus myself and the guitar/leader who also sing. we're still doing the 60's thru the 90's rock and roll scenario. my other band varies between a 3 piece (with me playing keyboard bass and keys) and a 6 piece in which the drummer becomes the front person and we have another drummer and a bass player who plays guitar (in the 3 piece). we play mostly for fraternal organizations (eagles, elks, veteran's organizations. and senior centers) and have been busier than i have ever been in any of my earlier bands. i have been playing in bands since high school in the early 60's. sometimes i have played music to supplement my income while having a day job. other times i have solely depended on playing music. i retired from my day job 7 years ago and consider my music playing as an avocation as well as a hobby. so, am i pursuing a career in music? btw, the rolling stones got together about the same time as i got into my first band.
that is wargasm(UK) Wargasm is a band from the USA who formed in 1985 and released 3 full length albums and an ep and since re-released 2 of the albums and other lost demos and unreleased material including a reunion dvd released in 2008.
Chase your dreams. Yea chances aren’t you won’t become a world icon, but you’re getting to do what you love. If I can pay my bills with music I’d be happy as heck. Whether it’s 36k or millions.
I saw a pic of back panel of the Kracken I saw 3 seperate 1/4 inch output jacks with different ohm ratings, does this mean it cannot run a 2 cab stack or do you have to run 2 cabs with different ohm speakers?
Is there a way to get notified when the applications open?
Two idiots dont know shit about vintage pedals.or why they were made for.😡😡😡😡😡🔥🔥🔥you threw a vintage pedal that started all the great 70s music in the bin??get another job this is not your job.idiot.😡😡😡😡😡😡
Great video!
Jeff beck used a green ringer on tracks from his album "Wired "
Great video thanks!
great demo ❤❤❤
Is the competition still going?
I don’t believe that. I’m now 50 but I’m still working towards my music career.
Getting a booking agent is the hardest.
What a remarkable talent! I came to this after stumbling across an exhibition of his in Copenhagen yesterday. Thanks for this great introduction video.
Really pleased you enjoyed it. He is a very special artist ❤️
I'm 37. I started learning to play guitar ten years ago. I'm writing lyrics for some country music I want to play but I haven't got a chord progression to any of my lyrics yet. When I do get them together I'm gonna post them on my channel. Wish me luck y'all.
This could be necessary for my first ever interview at bbc radio six with some random presenter!!!
i live in sheffield
One day guitarist will understand that in order to try and listen to a pedal you actually need a clean guitar not a distorted one thanks for not showing the actual sound of the pedals great job
Well said
Thanks guys. I’ve got a session coming up that requires talks. The MXR will be given to me at the session.
The problem with older musicians has nothing to do with age. If your music isn't current, well-written, and performed sharply, it won't succeed. You need all three of those to be tops. But rarely are older musicians interested in being current. It's great that you can play Dark Side of the Moon and Tom Petty. Yes, they still have listeners, but would they have made it today? An older musician who writes current-sounding material, and plays it with some heart, some power and some finesse can succeed, they will see no barriers to any level of success.

I have the MXR because I can use it with my halfstack, combo, or line six device. Absolute fun. Definitely BOARD!
The only thing that annoys me a bit with such a effect that it can get very unpleasant in high mids. I wish the unit simply has sort of way to filter it we find them offensive. Sort of basic lilter sweep potentiometer on unit.
All those had amazing midrange
I’d love to hear one behind playing harmonics
Best teacher any student could have funny kind no lesson would be the same with our mr kermally xxx
Brilliant... I'm 57 and about to release my debut album in November (2023). I'm as passionate and committed as I would have been aged 17 or even 27 - with the added benefit of hard-fought wisdom, years of experience and some amazing stories that can be told/shared (well, mostly). I treasure it far more than had it happened back in the day. I am my own gate-keeper!
too bad for the horrible audio, it's peaking all the way through
There are a lot of things to consider before venturing into music. I would say?
Bea is just fucking awesome. What an all-around guitar legend.
Josh Homme would have a field day
I think Lynyrd Skynyrds Gary Rossington had one built in to his amp.
I believe any age can make it even in there 50s and 79
I don't know why guitarists even bother with them all they instinctively ever do is immediate crappy guitar oohs ahhs & wahs then talk about how much fun it is, I'm buying an mxr22 to use with keyboard & actually sound good smh
Shit video. No shot of the pedals that you can see whilst skipping. Also old mate black vest can’t use it properly anyway.
Why didnt you run this in the effect's loop? All the sound is being colored by the Marshall tubes if you run in the front....So Im not sure what actually the pedals sound like.
