The writing is so technically proficient and if you really try to get yourself into the mood of it all, the text can be quite harrowing.

Politically speaking, "The North remembers" is going to echo "the Lannisters send their regards" and "winter is coming" won't be about ice zombies, but about the Starks hitting back. I mean, Rickon has a direwolf, Arya is an assassin and has a wild and savage direwolf, Bran is Google, Sansa, after everything that has happened to her, can become a skilled politician and Jon is Jesus on a white direwolf. If the North can't win whatever the hell they're playing with that super team, I don't know what's real anymore

Now there is only the greedy old man who scribbles notes for the wealthy for a high fee, cashing in on what value his name once held. The books will never be completed. You're more likely to get that lunatic Rothfus to finish his series in between scamming his fans with more lies upon lies.

Stannis uses the his tale of the bird to describe to Davos why he We all think that it's a shame that Proudwing "never flew higher than the treetops," but in reality, that's pretty typical of goshawks. They're forest canopy hunters, never straying far beyond the edges of the forest they hunt in, never rising above the tops of trees to hunt. Goshawks are also known for being much harder to train than your typical hunting hawk or falcon. So in Stannis' story, he successfully trains a bird as a child that even experienced falconers would have difficulty handling, yet because of the discouragement of those around him he couldn't see the true power he held in his hands.
