Museum of Wisconsin Art
Registrace 2. 04. 2013
MOWA is a different kind of museum. We believe that where we live is important and we are passionate about Wisconsin. Everything we exhibit and talk about has been made by an artist with deep connections to the state. With a vital focus on contemporary and emerging art, the museum is home to a growing collection and an array of programs that are fast becoming a national model for the exploration of regional identity or, as we like to say, “the art of place.”
The museum’s primary venue which opened in 2013 rests along the Milwaukee River in downtown West Bend.
The museum satellite MOWA | DTN opened in 2019 in Saint Kate-The Arts Hotel in downtown Milwaukee’s cultural district. Exhibitions of new and emerging art have helped make the Saint Kate one of the most dynamic and highly rated hotels in the Midwest.

Thank you Della Wells, brilliant artist!😊😊❤❤
Incredible artist!
Was hearing the Behind The Bastards podcast on Hank Ketcham, and there was mention of what a piece of crap Al Capp was.... Wow, just heard this and now i know.
Thank you so much for this. Della Wells is one of my favorite artists! I just admire her work. It has been hard to find info about her online so it is great to see an artist interview! Please come exhibit in Nashville, Tennessee, Della!!! :)
Excellent!!!!
Seeing this in person is quite the experience. It is quite large and fills your vision. Easy to let your mind wonder into the painting.
A very beautiful and moving musical composition that I think very much fits the painting! Thank you for sharing 💜
cough
When in West Bend make sure you check out Shalom Wildlife Zoo. TripAvisior ranks Shalom Zoo as the #1 tourist attraction in West Bend and the highest ranked zoo in Wisconsin.
wish the image of the painting on your website was a higher quality, can't find a clear image of this painting anywhere :/
Interesting talk but horrible sound quality.

Awesome, Amy! Congratulations! Best wishes - Amy Bates
I saw your conversation on WISN today and wanted you to reconsider your position on the Dahmer series. It really shows the pain and frustration of the poor people who were victimized and their families. It shows how marginalized the community was by the inept police here and truly truly shows the pain. It is not at all favorable to the loser who perpetuated these crimes on the LGBTQ community.
I understand how you feel. But I was there, and know family members and also how the community was victimized. We each have our own opinions, and I'm glad you took something away from the series. I have never watched any Dahmer related film. I did work on a CNN documentary in 2016 though, and that was an experience let me tell you.
@@bjornnasett5959 I was also “here” and still am. I thought it was more of a showing if the victims and what they went thru to TRULY understand how bad that all really got and how many chances there were to stop it but I also understand your feeling of not wanting to participate in anytning dahmer related. It’s just so sad but was also eye opening and a learning experience. If u see something u know isn’t right DO SOMETHING! And don’t stop til someone listens! 😭
@@bjornnasett5959 I bet what a total tragedy! More people need to speak up when they see something wrong!! Nobody wants to get involved and many suffer for that fear. I’m never afraid to get involved to save someone
@@bjornnasett5959 and I’m so sorry you were actually there with the families and felt the pain 😟
I had the opportunity to see this instillation today. It was easily the most beautiful instillation in the museum!
star!!
Awesome work by Steve...great process progression.
I can see why u have alot of Loomises style in your drawings Loomise is the best

Steve Rude makes such a beautiful and graceful line. He is the best.

I love this comic
Nice, nice, nice 😍
This is absolutely amazing. Great message
Wow! A girlfriend living in USA sent to me a Steve Rude´s book. What a woderful book!!!
Thank you
That was fun to watch.
Excellent! There is something really special and satisfying about working traditionally. It's a discipline that doesn't have unlimited undo features.
Fascinating to see how different artists handle their dip pens. Most of the ones I’ve seen are very tightly controlled. He seems much looser and carefree.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Bravo, bravo, bravíssimo!!!!
Francisco, our dear friend is a multifacetic artist, very apreciated in Michoacán, Mexico
Great art and video, well edited.
the guy is incredible
This is excelent
Laurie: I think that I took your art history class at Bowling Green State University in 1991 --- is this possible? I remember you as an exceptionally intelligent professor with a wicked, fun sense of humor and it was easy to love being in class. It was a long time ago --- was that you? (and -- I wrote a letter of recommendation for you -- for your job in Ann Arbor. :D. )
Inspirational! Fine work. Thanks for posting, Steve.
Thank you Laurie and Tyler. West Bend is so fortunate to have this museum in their city.
Looks great! Salas has a really fascinating and insightful way of talking about Lowe’s - and others’ - artwork.
Cool art!
