Last Burnouts Before Season Ends

Driving season for the Elky is over. Clocked around 5000km this summer with the new engine and drivetrain. Improved the 1/4 mile ET by 2.2 seconds and shaved off 10L/100km fuel consumption compared to the old N/A 355 engine. Got some updates to do this winter, but can't wait to get it back on the road next summer. Here's some fun before the season ends.

Starts up nicer then my wood gas truck I built, I always run on gasoline and switch over to woodgas unless the system is warmed up, then I can start on straight woodgas

What’s your transmission temperature average?
If I recall it right, with extra cooler about 70-80c after burnouts etc. This transmission and converter lives in another car now.

It sends analog tv signal, so plug it in the analog antenna connector and make tv search the channels.

Well, after all it's a GM, and if I remember correctly the small four cylinder left quite a lot of space in the engine compartment...
Yeah but had to heavily modify the firewall and completely remove the heater. Also the transmission tunnel is 3x size of the original. This is old clip, check out the lates 1/4 mile clip from 2019 :)

I had a 70 Ford Torino with a 350 Cleveland .. wish I knew then what I know now, never would've let that golden beauty go. Parents were Salt Flat race champs in that car 😟 .. not the same as a Camino, but it still triggered the memory lol
