Dalex at GCR on Monday 27th July 2015 featuring Ex Br type 2 'Sulzar' D5185 which has recently returned to traffic after about 5 years out. They are also my favorite Loco and grew up with them when i started trainspotting in Leicester on the birdcage all those years. ago

Following on from the signal box sequence and the impromptu shunt request, this is the loco and move we saw being set up in the box. The move was to allow the English Electric Type 1, D8098 to come out of its siding and then move through the station to couple up with its coaching stock ready for today's passenger train duties.

I would like again to share my love of the what has been achieved by volunteers and professionals alike at the Great central railway by inviting you to view my latest Proshow gold slide that i have published to u-tube. It is absolutely phenomenal what has been achieved and I hope by just viewing the show which is set to music of the 50's, the heyday of the steam locomotive in the UK, some memories can be sparked.
