Blir det kallare finns det blåslampa att ta till, så även i -37° C så startar den, men ca 30 minuters jobb.
Cold start of my 1976 Swedish army truck Scania TGB 30 (SBA111) at 8.6° F. Engine is Scania 6 cylinder/ 11 liter D11, without glow plugs or intake heater, or any external heater.
If it gets colder there is a dedicated kerosene blow torch to use for pre heating the engine, and battery heater. So even at -35° F it starts up with about 30 minutes of work.

I built a gas fired Swedish Kulspruta 58B (KSP58B) using a Airsoft Echo1 m240B and parts from www.ww2steel.com/Gasguns/Gasguns.html Fires using oxygen and propane. Big thanks to Steve Smith for instructions and parts, and @wtacsmg for inspiration and technical ideas!
