A-4 Skyhawk - the secret of simplicity
The A-4 Skyhawk is a light carrier-based attack aircraft created by the American Douglas Aircraft company for the US Navy and Marine Corps in the mid-1950s.
The Skyhawk is an implementation of the concept of maximum design simplification in the balance with sufficient combat functionality. Thanks to this, it earned a reputation as a simple, reliable and cheap combat aircraft. The A-4 has served in numerous military conflicts, most notably Vietnam. Later, thanks to the successful combination of price and efficiency, it was actively exported to various countries, served on aircraft carriers in Argentina, Brazil and Australia, and for many years was the basis of Israeli attack aviation. This proliferation was the key to longevity: created in the mid-1950s, the A-4 remained in service until the mid-2020s. A total of 2,960 units were produced.

If the MiG-25 had been the backbone of the Iraqi Air Force during the 1991 aggression (Iraq may have needed 20 squadrons of them ranging from 240 to 320 fighter/interceptor) without counting the needs to introduce the MiG-31, MiG-29 with helmet mounted sighting system HMS, the outcome of the air war would have been different, if not completely, then at least partially, in terms of allied air assets losses and war timetables... the performance record of the Iraqi MiG-25 during the 1991 aggression was a acceptable performances, given the extreme complexity of battlefield conditions Coupled with the moderate expertise of the Iraqi pilots, especially that the Iranian Air Force was not considered an competent opponent, and did not possessed an exceptional capabilities as it was an air force of third world countries without any previous combat experiences and equipped with very traditional combat capabilities, although Iranian Air force started the war with Iraqi Air Force from much higher ground considering that most of Iraqi fighter/interceptor command was made of mig21mf with smaller numbers of mig21bis and mig23 with moderate avionics systems, compared to the advanced Iranian f14 tomcats and f4... In addition to the fact that the Iraqi MiG-25s were export variant with reduced standards and lowered capabilities, however, in air combat, most of the losses inflicted on coalition aircrafts in air battle's were caused by the MiG-25 including shooting down f15 eagle, f18s and tornado's although the allies air assets was high-end platforms and was not an downgraded export variants for example the f15 eagles used by its manufacturer the so called temporary the united states of america is at least 30% better in its sensor's and overall performances compared with the most advanced exported copies and piloted by the most competents pilots in the world... most Iraq MiG-25 outperformed the aim-7 sparrow fired by f15 eagles, while the MiG-25 was equipped with r40 air2air missiles which outranged and outspeed the aim-7 sparrow ...

I think you may have missed a bit of history here. The VC 10 was a development of the VC8 Viscount and the the VC9 Vanguard. During the Vanguard's development Vickers were aware that the World might be moving in the direction of jet airliners for even shorter haul routes and had a back up design which they called the Vanjet. It would have had the Vanguard's fuselage, a new swept wing and three engines in the tail. In the end that was not preceded with, but further developed into the VC10 which also used the Vanguard's figure of eight fuselage. There is a direct line from the Viscount and Vanguard to the VC10, with an unbuilt branch to the V1000. Incidentally the jigs and tooling for the V1000 were all destroyed on government orders when that project was cancelled.

Proper names are pronounced differently in different languages anyway. I would also point out that the town of Saulte St. Marie is pronounced "Soo St. Marie", so clearly that pronunciation exists of that letter grouping.

It is necessary to transform the V-280 into a medium or large seaplane version that can hover low over the water, propel forward or turn quickly, take off and land, land faster on ordinary dirt roads or on top of high-rise buildings, and withstand harsh seas condition. It needs to be upgraded to achieve long-distance flights of 9,000 meters in the air and a temperature of 45 degrees Celsius. To minimize the weight of the fuselage and power system, achieve automation and unmanned driving, and carry more than 20 tons of cargo, the range needs to reach 5,000 kilometers, and the top speed can be increased to 800-1,300 kilometers per hour. Bell and other companies need to increase researchers' salaries and bonuses, work with more senior professionals, and dramatically speed up development of projects that have been delayed for too long.

I also wasn't aware it was a 1952 design that first flew in 54. That is kind of wild to consider all the money that went to waste on plane after plane that quickly was replaced. Asking congress and the American people to foot a bill that is largest really is a tale of the time. They scared the shit out of its people to pay for all this when it was clear the big war had been over.
