Marimba Spiritual by Minoru Miki - Connor Dinneen - QCGU Semester 1 Recital 2024

This is a piece that I would listen to during class in high school after searching 'Coolest Marimba Pieces'. I never dreamed that I'd be able to play this in any form. Extremely fun and fulfilling piece that was a big jump in my playing abilities and my confidence. Huge thank you to my amazing backline Matt, Dara and especially Jaymee who ran straight into this after her own recital right before. This performance never mind inaccuracies is a performance I will always be very proud of so please enjoy.
Played in my 3rd year semester 1 recital at Griffith University's Queensland Conservatorium.

Filmed 03/05/22 Wind was the first 4 mallet piece I learnt in my first semester at uni. This was my first performance of it where I was invited back to my high school for their percussion showcase. It was fun flexing on my old ensemble but I enjoyed seeing how much they'd grown musically in the 6 months since I'd been gone so much more.
