Written on acoustic guitar at Tahunanui Beach in Nelson, this is a song trying to avoid the Christian cliches by using fresh ideas.
...When we finally meet Almighty God, we will all be:
'Blinded by the brilliance of (his) glory
Deafened by the thunder of (his) voice
Weakened by the power of (his) presence
Swallowed up in wonder and in joy!'
In this album, I return to my Christian roots with a diverse range of prayers, praise & reflective yearnings to go deeper into the divine. These songs were written over the past 30 years on guitar and piano.
I am thankful for a small handful of folks with better voices than mine who assisted with the backing & lead vocals.
