Happy greetings everyone !!!
Hope that the assortment of short videos that have been uploaded here on this channel over the last few years will be fun and enjoyable for all to be seen.
My home town is Launceston in Tasmania - Australia and I like model planes, helicopters, radio controlled boats and kite flying.
And if you ever see our kites or planes in the sky or boats in the water please drop by and say hello. I will surely be very happy.

My 1st ever Wine Cap mushroom - September 2023
I planted (inoculated) a large area of the garden beds at home here in Tasmania with some wine cap mushroom spawn 5 months ago during mid autumn this year.
Towards the end of winter and now early spring, I have been watering and watching the mycelium grow under the straw and wood chips but have not seen any wine caps grow above ground.
That was just until a few days ago when all of a sudden I found the first "Garden Giant".
It is still a very young mushroom as the cap has not even started to open yet and the veil is still firmly attached to the cap.
A true garden giant indeed ....... (｡◕‿◕｡)

Soaring above the trees - my friend flying his glider ...... 🛬 Slope Soaring .... 🌳 It's fun stuff really - moving air flowing up the windward side of a small hill in our park . So when the wind is blowing towards the bottom of the small slope and/or trees, the flow gives just enough lift. Perfect for keeping our toy planes and gliders aloft ...... 🙂

We waited 7yrs, and i remember sitting with my whole family and watching this. The man from snowy river, the anthem and the rings on the bridge. Great way to start!

Loved the video but why ruin it with all that horrible music. it would have been more enjoyable being able to hear the turbo props and the general cockpit bells and noises. Even a simple bit of radio communication would have been better.

I worked on the Games in Sydney and I don’t think there is a more stirring and defining moment of the 2000 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony than all of these stock horses coming out to the theme from the Man from Snowing River.
There was no better way to open the games than this
I hope those Olympic stock horses became legends in their stables. I would have hung photographs on the stable wall of their prime moment.

@@jkkay477 yes I do, I am English. However, when the six nations rugby rolls around each year, wales and Scotland have their own national anthems which are very good imo. Every time a wales or Scotland national sports team plays they will play those anthems instead of god save the king/queen. If they (Welsh and Scottish athletes) are playing under a team GB situation, they will play God Save the King/Queen no matter what. (Edit: In fairness to the original rankings the Welsh anthem probably doesn’t even count as it’s in Welsh although Flower of Scotland is in English so I thought it should also be included in the ranking)

That looked terrific, Nara. I hadn't seen model seaplanes before, but they are certainly exciting to watch. I'm surprised they and the boats were allowed to operate there, with all the wild water-birds around (they seemed to mostly disappear soon after the start!) Here, we can't even tale a kayak out on similar lakes because the birds might complain. Surprised too that there weren't more people at such a lovely spot on such a glorious day.
Oh, we are best friends with those ducks and water birds Jim. They would come and sit on our laps and we feed them sometimes too. They have been here since ancient times. Ha ha Well, at least for 30 ++ years 🦤🦆🦢🐳🐍🐟
