A Call for New Machinists in 2022
As manufacturing is returning to the US, the machining industry is facing a crisis. 70% of the current machining workforce is over age 45. Over 29,000 new machinists will be needed by the year 2024.

If the gear arbour has a taper in it how can measuring either side be a good test for it being parallel? Is that why you said 0.5 thou diff is good? It just doesnt seem very accurate
Cool example, thanks. Must be fun working with such great equipment.
Thank you so much 😍
43 years in the trade as a toolmaker… do NOT use a sheet of paper for touch off… if I saw that in my shop whoever did it would pack their boxes and sent to the unemployment line..PERIOD! If you disagree that’s fine too..but you’d NEVER work in my shop a minute longer
Will it smoke without leaving the pipe black
Looks I have have found someone to mentor as a new member into the milling family...please sir does this formula work on metric too? Love from Ghana
Hello, thank you for the amazing video. I just bought a used clark mill and looks exactly as the mill you guys are showing. I need to know what size fuse breaker is needed at the power panel?
Wish you made more videos. These are great for the home workshop machinist
Bagus tutorialnya, makasih sudah berbagi langsung subscribe & like
I had a feeling epsom salt would be an easy way to make crystals at home. Even cooler than I thought. Awesome
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING
Speeding up your recording is not helpful. If someone is too immpatient to watch a short video, a surface grinder is not a machine for them.
bro you can not hole punch to save your life get some better glasses
Are those crystals durable enough to use in a art project, like an epoxy resin pour type of project??
HI! HOW MUCH WATER AND SALT SHOULD I ADD
Nice!
❤❤❤❤❤
i came across this video when i was having a rough day, but now it's been a great day waiting for my salt crystals to grow :]
Hope your having a better day today and I hope your crystal making was fun ❤
😮
Very good
Thanks a lot, very good info👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
A very good video. thank you
Change the V belt of motor
Dicks out for harambe... lol, nice.
Nice and simple! You should see what it takes to start up my Amada laser....
I would know. I'm 3 days in to training
is it the same as with borax?
That was really well explained!
Mine didn’t grow :(
I know this is an old video, but it just popped up in my feed. Enjoyed it. Sub'd.
You made nice, faint, cabbage pH sensitive paper strips, but please don't call it litmus paper, which is from an entirely different "plant". Litmus is extracted from a lichen, that is not related at all to cabbage. I was misled by your video title while searching how to extract litmus pigment. I suggest you change your video title not to mislead other viewers. Thank you.
супер!!!БРАВО!!
Hi I have a question, can a person Make crystal meth the same way as the Epsom salt
If you do the experiment again, and add those crystals back into the mixture, do they form larger crystals or just the add to the clump of small ones ?
Does it have to be epsom salt specifically?
Your boss tells you to cut a 48 tooth gear that 6 in in diameter tell them to go to hell because the number of teeth is what's going to indicate how big the gear is unless you have every gear cutter known to mankind but that would mean that it doesn't matter at all what any of the adjoining gears are the whole paradigm don't even make sense. It's more confusing than it was before
So the whole depth on any gear is just the gear diameter divided by the diametral pitch?
Heighth isn't a word it's height
You tell that to the depth dept😂
That is so cool. Thank you
Great video! What would happen if you moved the variable speed while not running?
Excellent video! Lot of valuable information and the way of presentation is the same or much better as doing it technical schools around.
What type of crystal Is it
Thk
Can I generate X,Y points for each line and load those points into this program? From there, continue with the layout processes you showed here?
not sure what your idea of a couple hour is has not worked for us so far
Should a respirator be worn when using this machinery
You will note at about 48 seconds into the video I mentioned turning on the vacuum to clear the grinding dust created during the process. So no, you do not need to wear a respirator while using this piece of equipment.
Hi Liam, as a new owner of a Knee Mill, thank you for taking time to explain all of the levers, I have owned another make of milling machine since 1980, but now i have big boys pants.....Woohoo. Regards Beagles.
Hi Liam, as a new owner of a Knee Mill, thank you for this tip.
Hi Liam, as a new owner of a Knee Mill, thank you for this tip.
Where did you buy the press tool at
I’m not sure I know what you are asking. But I will try to answer your questions. The dividing head is an important from MSC. Global Industrial offers a good selection of involute gear cutters. I made the arbor to fit.
Outstanding!👍👍👍
What should the RPMs be set on the mill for cutting gears
