I see the part timers are striking again! Teachers the most highly paid an hour part timers in the country when they actually turn up at the schools to work. If they need more money they can always find another part time job during their long +13 weeks holiday break a year.

Right unless you are a teacher you have no idea what it's like just as you have no idea what it's like to be a fireman, soldier surgeon, police officer para medic or anything else here's some news most people work hard, life is hard. No one ever said it would be easy nobody held a gun to anyone's head and forced them to become teachers. These are educated people you would think that they had the common sense to find out what the job entailed before choosing it as a career like most of us uneducated peasants did that's how life works so piss off yourself

I don't know how old this is but it looks as if Katie will still be on our screens after Phil and Holly have disappeared into obscurity along with their fake concerns about anything other than how much money they can grab. Knowing how to do logarithms and being able to quote Shakespeare might get you a job as a teacher but otherwise these skills are pretty useless

Why is it today that whenever anyone has a different opinion people start talking about hatred and haters? I don't like or agree with Holly and Phil and i don't think they deserve the money they get paid so I just choose not to watch them. I don't HATE them and i don't accuse them of spouting hatred every time they say something i disagree with

It seems to me that teaching is the default option for those who only managed to get mediocre grades at university they never got the qualifications needed to earn really good money if they had they wouldn't be teaching

As a child i always went on holiday with my parents outside the school holidays i learnt more in Those weeks than i ever learnt in class i learnt about Geography, history, foreign cultures exchange rates and languages i learnt more French and Spanish being in those countries than i ever did conjugating verbs in the classroom. I learnt more about maths figuring how many pesetas or francs id get for my money than i ever did memorising algebra which i have never once needed to know in my adult life as I've never found knowing about dines cosine and tangent of any use whatsoever

When i was a t school the average English lesson involved passing round books and we had to copy a chapter or a poem. Geography involved handling out books and we had to copy out what made up Australia's exports. History books were handed out and we. had to copy down the names of all the Kings and Queens since William the conqueror, Science: you guessed it books were handed out and we had to copy down the periodic table. Religious studies we had to copy passages from the bible. Anything to keep us quiet so the teacher could read hid paper and fo his crossword in peace

For all the controversial comments Hopkins has uttered this tops them all, every worker should have the right to strike

He speaks English well, but his arguments disintegrate into incoherent nonsense, ignoring questions, generalizing and going off into irrelevant rhetoric. Mr Fry soon exposes a complete lack of empathy, combined with a lack of reasoning. He does not have his story straight at all. Unfortunately people like this do well in America and no doubt many other countries by building a support base amongst a certain sector of the population that is mostly poorly educated and won’t think too much about this or other issues. This is not specifically a Russian problem.
