Welcome! I'm making a trailer a week for my favorite movie of each year. I started in 1931 with Fritz Lang's M, and I'm going to continue chronologically until I catch up to my favorite movie released inn...2023? I think that's when I'll be finished!
Freaks - Fan Trailer
I've abandoned my year-by-year approach to trailers!
I've decided to put what trailer I do up to a vote (on my instagram which is right here: trailers.through.time )
My goal here was to make something that didn't sensationalize the characters in a disrespectful way. Which I like to think follows what this movie tries to express. There is certainly a path that I think could be taken that would be very gross and mean approach.
I hope you enjoy this one!

I know this one's a little long. I really like to keep my trailers to be below two minutes, but, well...here we are. Dead Man is the movie that made me fall in love with movies. I think I was 14 or 15 when I stumbled on it playing on IFC one night and just fell in love. The music. The look. The William Blake of it all. GARY FARMER. We don't really need to talk about Johnny (Though he did sign m...

Hello. I have returned. Gonna be honest, just haven't been in the mood to cut any trailers. Maybe because none of the films I've seen from 1993 were speaking to me trailer-wise. If that makes sense. Also. when I was making this, I screwed something up in the editing timeline and got everything all jumbled and...I kinda liked it. I think it sorta works for the state of mind the main character is...

Orlando is maybe what I consider my favorite movie. If you haven't seen it, I implore you to seek it out (though I believe it's a little tricky to find). My first time seeing this, I was lucky enough to see it in the theater. It happened to be the last movie I saw in the theater before Covid did its thing and shut everything down. But. If that was going to be my last cinema experience, it could...

This is a...different one. I thought for a strange (for lack of a better term, I find that to be a lazy description, but here we are) film, I'd attempt to make a strange trailer. I initially was just going to do a title card thing, but I kept going and kept adding more. I'm not sure if it turned out okay. Mostly due to the fact that I don't think I quite have the eye for text and graphics in th...

I wasn't planning on making this today, but, I just started clicking buttons and, well, here we are. I originally planned to do a trailer for Wings of Desire which is one of the all time greats imo. But I started listening to Summoning and thought that a Prince of Darkness trailer would look pretty cool to this. So I have slapped this together. Truly, Prince of Darkness isn't one of my favorite...

Music - Eldritch Sauce by Red Aunts Welp, I've returned. I feel very out of practice with this one. I had an idea of what I wanted to do, but I'm not quite sure I succeeded. I was going for a punk Varda thing, but, idk, I think it kinda comes off as phony. Anyways...enjoy! I'll try to make a new one next week!
The Sign - Not a trailer.

So this is essentially an experiment. I'm toying around with the idea of making an abstract narrative using a combination of footage shot be me and stock footage. Also, I want to improve my audio editing. That hasn't been something I've truly ever focused on. So, idk, here is this!

Music -Summerheat by Au I've returned. Anyways, Paris, Texas is a good movie. There are few films that I put in its realm. It is an elemental piece of cinema that captures such a specific feeling of the loss of self in a world that is too damn big. In my opinion, Paris, Texas is the Great American Movie. It just so happens to be directed by a German guy. Which makes sense. We're a nation of out...

Music - Nora Keyes - 'The Show is Over ' and Falco Subbuteo - Live at Club Integral A violent and brutal film. If home invasion and cruelty are not your thing, do not watch the movie. I don't necessarily seek out films like this, but after hearing about it for a while, I gave it a shot. It's excellent. I think it's hard to pull off something as simple and plotless as 'bad guy invades a home' an...

So, this is a fan trailer?
It's pretty cool, the modern music clashes with the film footage in my mind.
The message in this film is so trite
Filme da desgraça
This is making me nauseous
based on real science , there were no anti rejection drugs in those days
I have this on DVD the ending is really scary
Notes on SCP-3922's interaction with Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom: Due to SCP-3922 interference, the recording had been extended to over nine hours in length. The four "masters"1 were terminated by sniper fire from SCP-3922-A instances as several squadrons were deployed via dropship to liberate their captives. The scene promptly cuts to a desert environment, analogous to the extradimensional space examined by the Foundation during Operation Galahad. The masters, naked and agitated, are intercepted by SCP-3922-A aircraft and captured, then taken to a mountainous location following an hour-long travel sequence in which no dialogue is exchanged. The aircraft arrives in a large military staging area of human design, located in a massive crater surrounded by mountains and greenery, and topped with a stone monument in the shape of three crescent moons. Combat vehicles resembling SCP-2578-D are seen entering and exiting the facility. Upon landing, the four masters are taken to an underground storage facility and forcibly submerged in tanks - labeled "OUBLIETTE" - of semitransparent blue-green gel. The process is extremely painful for the prisoners, but no physical harm is apparent. The tanks are then stored on a series of numbered shelves along a large marble wall. The remainder of the film is approximately eight hours of detailed depictions of the prisoners' faces, distorted with pain and agony. The ending card has been altered slightly for this recording, reading simply "YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED" under a red triple-moon logo. Based on these findings, I believe that connections between SCP-3922, SCP-2578, and SCP-2922 should be examined immediately. - Researcher Paulsen
This is Pee Wee's playhouse compared to the modern day Fascists running the World.
🥰
I don't normally go to the movies by myself, but this deserves my attention. I just saw the trailer. I can't wait to see this on the big screen for the first time.
Fake trailer because you didn't show other actors, Esmond Knight for example.
“ Cinema! ”
i very seriously watching this Passolini have some message from this movie
An excellent film that shows the essence of fascism. Pier Paolo Pasolini is a true genius.
Smh
i'm so scared even thinking about the movie again
Les yeux sans visages un film français très impressionnant avec le grand Pierre Brasseur.
another Drive my Car ripoff
stupid piece of wartime propaganda. how many germans in real life were murdered thx to the encouragement of this film
I’m from Italy and I’m a big fan of Pierpaolo Pasolini. However this is not a movie to watch twice. It is largely considered as one of the most disturbing and sadistic movies ever made
Because it is. Some of the victims were actually minors. People justify it by saying that it brings a message but the creators could've just used adults playing as teens instead of actually using children in this film.
Father of seven
I rarely use the word evil but having watched the film I believe that is the most suited word. I do believe anyone who goes back to watch it a second time is likely a sex offender
Ok no that last sentence was uncalled for you need to do better
This is the most beautiful movie I've ever had the privilege to watch! Even though The producer pier Paolo was openly gay he detested the powers of the elite. He was indeed one of the first gay Christians in modern times. This movie as sick as it is was meant to engrain in people's minds the sick twisted powers of the elite ( the same people killed him)! May God rest his soul...
The worst part about this movie is that people seriously think that it has a message or that it is meant to symbolize something. It does not. Nor was it meant to be symbolic in any way. Salò is first a foremost not an original story from Pasolini, it is merely an adaptation of a novel written by Marquis De Sade while imprisoned in France. De Sade was a well known sadist who liked to write about messed up things and who was incarcerated for doing most of the things he wrote about. He wrote the novel to kill time while in prison and those depravities was all he could think and write about. So no, this movie is not meant to symbolize anything, it is just the sadistic fantasy of a sadistic person. The only thing Pasolini did was bringing it to the screens and changing the setting from 18th century France to world war 2 Italy.
It's coming dude
@@helenafreitas1012what is?
When you read about the Finders and the CIA, and all the satanic blood letting rituals and child abuse that was uncovered with that--there no doubt are evil, wicked people who think they are better than others, who get a kick out of torturing and killing other people--no matter the age--in a manner similar to the bastards torturing the young men and women throughout this movie. Take a good look at Hollywood, at Washington DC. Do you really think this, or anything like what is depicted in this movie, isn't happening on a whole other level, with the involvement and complicity of big name people? I have a bridge to sell you.
It might not represent anything through deliberate symbolism, but it will still reflect aspects of ideologies held by the creators. Those ideological representations will then be recognised by the viewer, and they will be connected to memories of where they've seen those ideologies represented before. The artist doesn't have to intend for something to be symbolic, for it to become symbolic anyway. It can even become symbolic of the opposite thing the artist intended it to be a symbol for. Think Pepe the Frog, think pretty much all the Greek classics (deep and meaningful, carefully thought out allegories about life, riddled with deliberate symbolism? Or just cool ass stories that we project the symbolism onto through analysis?) Even if the book/movie has no message or deliberate symbolism, it still represents total nihilism, and the "joys" of power and cruelty. For example: "The ludacris freedom granted by the outside world", idk what you see, but that sure sounds like the words of a fascist to me, and even though De Sade died before fascism as we understand it today even existed, there is an idealogical connection, which can then be drawn out to be seen as symbolic, and a lot of people see this movie as having a message about fascism. It really is more up to the viewer to decide if something is symbolic, not so much the artist.
@@Matt-zk8qh The problem with that argument is that it doesn’t apply here simply because of who the author was. He was a libertine who did not care about politics, religion, or morality, and felt that the only meaning to life was to satisfy one’s pleasures. And that’s what the whole novel ultimately is, a twisted fantasy. Nothing more, and nothing less. At the end of the day, that symbolism you’re talking about is one you’re creating yourself, and not one the story actually has. Marquis De Sade was a sick person. He spent most of his adult life from prison to prison because he tortured people in similar ways as depicted in the movie. The difference was that he was nowhere near as powerful as his characters in order to get away with it, and instead would constantly get denounced and apprehended. There is a reason why his characters were the upmost powerful people in the country, because the idea of being able to do those things without getting in trouble was ultimately De Sade’s fantasy. He could live his fantasies through them, since he couldn’t fully do it in real life. The president, magistrate, bishop, and duke, could do as they pleased because they were essentially the law. So basically, the idea of being able to lock themselves in a far away mansion with their victims, free to do as they please without any repercussions, was Marquis de Sade’s sick fantasy. For the record, the novel wasn’t even meant to be published anyways, as De Sade was imprisoned for life, and was only able to get out because of a raid. So that’s another point for ya, he didn’t even meant to publish it. When he got out, the novel was stolen, and he actually lived his whole life thinking it had been lost. It was only many years after his death that the novel was actually published by someone else. So once again, feel free to give this sick novel/ movie whatever symbolism you want, but at the end of the day, the author just wrote it for his own sick pleasure, and that’s ultimately all it really is.
Love the sequence of shots from 1:17-1:26. So impactful!
🤮
This is excellent. Well done
They made better movies back then than they make now.
What's this movie about
So for the longest time I avoided watching 120 days of sodom because of what all the reviews and what people had said about it being violent disgusting and disturbing and what not. I finally watched it today, and let me tell you, it was a BORING and very uneventful film and it was far from what people hyped it up to be. It wasn't even that bad. It was mostly boring. Watch porn instead of this movie, there's nothing sexually satisfying to watch. It's all dumb. It makes sense why the antagonists have bad teeth after you watch them eat human faces. They look like they eat poo because they do lol. You can't take them seriously after that. The whole time you'll just be saying "bruh shut up already, you eat poo." Dumb movie in every way.
Ok so what's this movie about? And what's August underground about I hear they both disturbing to watch so what they even about what's the plot of movie
i have seen this when i was 11....
Madness.... and I'm ALL IN!
For a faceless woman? I did feel kind of sorry for her.

I actually really love this movie, lol. It's so dark and hypnotic and artful. The way the movie flows, the insightful philosophies, the horror. It's excellent.
Couldn't agree more.
Saló is a masterpiece. I his brutality and sadism and being disturbing, is an excellent prove by the great Pasolini. But for sure not a movie to watch twice

A trash, ignorance and absurdity.
It doesn't come even close to the depravity of the book of that libertine, de Sade.
WTH this some pizza gate Epstein Murloch worshipping documentary .
