Parappa is from a world of cartoonish nonsense and is quite literally a nearly paper thin (Which he should be, but ig it would have been hard to make him fully thin in this game) dog who probably can't die or get hurt in conventional ways, I mean what you gonna do? crush him? and he's FLAT?
