yeah me neither, my problem is with just how janky fighting multiple opponents is the tackle mechanic is the main culprit and removing it makes the combat fell a lot better

my brother in christ read the install instructions, you have to put the NoMoSloMo.pak in the data folder and then add this line "data\NoMoSloMo.pak" into the bottom of pak.cfg in the same folder also you put the "sys_spec_twtoggle" into user.cfg not autoexec

@@autumn6994 I just figured it out :D Was my mistake I did make "use.cfg" file instead of "user.cfg" and had +exec user.cfg on steam ahah, this no slow mo works very well with Better Combat mod as it also reduces the perfect block chance to minimum so you have to watch enemy posture when he is about to make a swing on you so then you block it

1 vs 2 or more enemies vanilla combat is bad yes, the problem is not that it is hard, it's just so damn janky i think it's mostly the tackle mechanic, turning it off with that mod fixed most of my issues with the combat tbh

@@autumn6994 Also the combat isn't specifically skill based. I wouldn't exactly call learning combos Skill especially since the combos only work sometimes if you have good stats. The only two skills I would argue you can learn is how to masterstrike and also how to back up basically if you hit the run button but don't actually run they start running after you which guarantees a hit on them. Honestly all I need is a good ol horizontal swing and I would be peachy. Call it unrealistic but so long as I hit something and I actually swing when I hit swing I just don't care lol. Also the lock on is vomit inducing.

Read the mod description it states it is part of the mod if you download it you will need to edit the file if you wish to keep those things.

@@Aquatexx How to customise the compilation The compilation of mods is, of course, subject to personal taste, and you may want to disable parts of it either because you disagree with the changes or it conflicts with some other mod you're using. The main download includes the full compilation, but within the mod folder you can find each part in a pak file of its own. To disable a part, simply remove the corresponding pak file - or in the case of the mod.cfg, simply remove the line in question. The text changes belonging to any of the parts can also be disabled by removing the relevant rows in the mod's localization xml files, within the language pak files - this is required for restoring the cardinal compass points for example. It's in the description on the Mod I suggest reading it to see what all it changes it's a great mod but there are a few things you should know before just downloading it this will prevent you a lot of issues such as what you are currently experiencing.

target locking system prevents you from fighting against >=2 opponents because you can't freely move in a fight, and raise shield against blows of other enemies swinging at you. Even leaning against a tree or bushes won't prevent from being backstabbed as all gankers around you are going to make a sieve out of you.

you can quickly swap targets with the mouse wheel or shift but the mod makes it easier to just change targets with mouse movement

I totally agree man , it’s my favorite genre of all time and I was a huge ezio era assassins creed fan as well as any classic such as Skyrim and so forth and KCD is hands down my favorite game of all time now after recently stumbling upon it , it’s truly a masterpiece in my opinion and I’m so excited for the new one

Yeah I really don't understand how people thought some farm/blacksmith young man would somehow be amazingly good at fighting with only a few classes. Lol I've done three playthroughs. The first time I played it it wasn't really that hard or at least to me it wasn't I'm not sure if it's because Henry was bad. The second playthrough was challenging but now the third playthrough it seems like they changed the game or updated it for 2024 and it does feel much harder especially when it comes to blocking but still not impossible. As long as you stay away from fights involving more than three enemies with armor. Then again my character still intermediate and not expert.

​@@yipperdeyip this game is ridiculously simple, spam master strike. and it was dumbed down the moment they added slo mo. most people dont find it hard, they find it boring as shit because its conceptually cool combat system sabotages itself with broken shit like clinches, master strike and tackle. mix that with abyssally retarded cheese AI, incredibly buggy and restrictive animations in combat, and the worst lock on system that can only (barely) be remedied with mods, and youve got the most dumbed down brainrotted melee combat on the market. i like this game a lot, but the combat seems to pretend its deep. the rpg elements carry the combat a bit by adding nuance and variance, but in a vacuum, it's just janky trash. so many of its problems have already been solved by contemporary melee games like chivalry and mordhau, for honor, sekiro, hellish quart. and fuck, even mount and blade had a more solid and consistent melee system like 15 fucking years ago. I'm only ranting about this because this game is sick but holy shit is the community elitist about its horribly outdated and inherently broken combat.

that is a thing in the "Modified Combat Overhaul" mod not BCAIC i'm pretty sure, but that mod makes the ms animation scuffed just so you know

just create a new text file, copy and paste that into it and save it as: user.cfg then copy the .cfg file into the root KCD dir

yeah spamming masterstrikes is just boring and too easy, especially at high lvl as you can see i pulled of only one in 5min of fighting, that mod makes them significantly harder to do

@@autumn6994 That's definitely fair, it gets REALLY boring to spam them despite its efficiency. It ruined my immersion a bit when the combat would just boil down to back peddle and hit q lol. This actually does look like it'd be more fun overall.
