    I remember I settled on this design a couple years ago when trying to figure out every combination of 1 through 10 inputs and 1 through 10 outputs. I love this strategy because it perfectly splits everything, but one fault it has is that it slightly reduces your input. Usually this doesn't matter but is there a nice way to solve this?

    • @Gaming_with_Doc
      @Gaming_with_Doc Před 23 hodinami

      It reduces your input if you overload the middle conveyor where the extra line is routed back in. The only solution I know to fix this is to upgrade your conveyors or otherwise reconfigure your machines. That's the biggest limitation of the prime splitter array. Thanks for the comment!

    The issue with this solution is that an assembler takes 2 inputs, so if you build with only one of the inputs in consideration, the other one will not be correct, and you will need to over/under-clock anyways

    • @Gaming_with_Doc
      @Gaming_with_Doc Před 4 dny

    Or just downclock your constructor to 12/min :P

  • @Loot_OW
    @Loot_OW Před 6 dny

    Heyy Mr. Doc, loving the blind playthrough so far, and its really nice to see an honest take on the game instead of just megastructures and huge nuclear setups. Screws are a huge hassle to ship around via belts and you might find it easier to ship rods around and make them onsite, its alot more compressed on the belt. ex: for reinforced plates, you can run the screws though its own crafter at 40/minute, and straight into the assembler. for max efficiency you can also underclock the assembler to 66% for eat screws at exactly 40/min, or at least pretty close. Using manifold style splitters for both inputs goes a long way even at mid-tier belts, easier to ship around and saves some power. Hope this helps!

    • @Gaming_with_Doc
      @Gaming_with_Doc Před 5 dny

      That's actually a great idea! It makes a lot of sense to leave them as rods until they hit their final destination. Thanks for the comment!

    It's possible! I've being watching Kibitiz for a few years and he has being playing throughout the development of the game. He just ended his last season after 2 years building his factories! A lot of good tips too on base building, etc. Is all about input and output and calculating how many resources you gonna need and production machines you gonna need to produce a determinate resource on a reasonable pace. There's also a in-game calculator, so you can do the math more easily without needing to open a calculator outside of the game.

    You can put the polimmer resign in the Awesome Sink. so you dont have to build more storage containers.

  • @quixmith
    @quixmith Před 7 dny

    I always found that making plastic containers with the resin then packing water to put into the awesome sink was my way to deal with the storage issues of all my items. I also used to put a splitter with more Awesome Sinks helped my storage issues as well, and got me tickets too :). sometimes just getting a sink to drain all your excess products is just what has to happen.

  • @echomande4395
    @echomande4395 Před 7 dny

    I'm a bit surprised you aren't using the sink more. If there's a solid product you don't or can't use for the moment then your best option is to sink it if only to keep the machines going. That includes cases where the belts back to base aren't complete yet. For building belt trunk lines you can make a belt tower blueprint using the small pillars or beams if you want to keep your belts together. In terms of power, you should have a crude oil to fuel recipe available, which should produce 40 fuel for 60 oil. Personally I would build a high (40m up) 13x13 platform somewhere and pump 180 oil up to it. Put in a belt lift down, with it going to a splitter and then a sink. Then on the platform have the oil run into three refineries to produce fuel. Use that 120 fuel to fill a large storage tank or 2 and then into 10 generators. As you get better recipes you can upgrade the fuel production process (and put in more lifts and/or a water pipe) to reduce oil usage. The reduction in oil use can then be used to supply one or more duplicate 13x13 platforms with more generators. This should make many of the power issues largely go away, especially if you duplicate this setup in one or two other places. Later on you can use the waste resin for a variety of things, but upgrade the splitter next to the sink to a smart splitter set to overflow into the sink first. Note that you can change conveyor splitters and merger into other splitters and merger in the same way you can change a wall or window type. You select the new type and then ctrl-click on the item to be replaced.

    • @Gaming_with_Doc
      @Gaming_with_Doc Před 7 dny

    I just found your channel tonight, so I don't know what you know or don't know, so any info is not meant to insult you only to help if needed, but you are doing a good job from what I see. One thing mentioned in another comment was the conveyor floor holes need to be bought in the awesome shop with tickets from the awesome sink. And the second part to line them up, do you know there is a "WORLD GRID" You don't need to use it all the time but if you start a foundation and hold ctrl while you place it, it will be lined up with the world grid. Now if you build another foundation a mile away and hold ctrl while placing it, if you were to make a 'road' of foundations between them, it would line up exactly with the other foundation, so with that info you should be able to make the upper and lower holes line up. You can also build ladders with conveyor poles or buy ladders in the shop and just put up a ladder to get up a cliff.

    For those wondering about just using manifolds (one belt with a splitter for each output). Manifolds work for most cases. But when the input changes at all it can have a pretty strong negative impact on output. When you load balance even when input changes the output stays balanced. So in big factories it is important to load balance to keep the output balanced.

    Hello Doc, I'm a relatively experienced Satisfactory player. You bring me the joy we all experience as new players. I wish I could forget everything I know so I can enjoy it again from scratch. Your passion for the game is refreshing. Keep going mr Doc!

      Well thanks! It's an incredibly interesting and fun game. I'm glad you enjoy hanging out with me while I learn the game. Somehow I'm around 200 hours in and I still feel like such a newbie at it!
