Where did you get the hose adapter for the makita ? I have the makita track saw with a rigid vacuum and the vacuum hose is too big Thanks
The vac hose is from Rockler. Power tool hose.
The hose you see is a modified hose. Go to Rockler and get a power tool hose. It comes with some adapters.

Were you able to trim the two ends of the splinter guard? And at what speed did you set on cutting the guard?
Yes I trimmed both ends on another cut. I did not adjust the blade RPM.
