Chica Jo and Paulito are off Triplefin and at their house in Tucson during the intensely hot and dry summer of 2023. Their version of the song is Sonoran Desert accurate and their singing and playing is highly non-professional. But with pants on.

2,250 Guadalupe Fur Seals and California Sea Lions on Isla Las Animas April 2023
zhlédnutí 81Před rokem
Guadalupe Fur Seals were once thought to be extinct. Having been rediscovered on Isla Guadalupe in the Pacific, they have recently been recovering and have shown up at Isla La Animas in the Sea of Cortez. The last count of pinnipeds at the Island found 188 animals of both Guadalupe Fur Seals and California Sea Lions combined. This count yielded 2,250, a majority of them the once-lost-and-now-fo...

Removing FOUR hooks from a brown booby's wings
zhlédnutí 22Před rokem
You wouldn't believe how common an occurrence this is. We collect fishing lures, tackle, line and nets every single place we snorkel or dive in the Sea of Cortez. Please be careful with your gear and don't cast when there are birds or mammals around. You can also help us and our partners at CRRIFS to disentangle more with a donation: www.triplefin.org/items/disentanglement

arrent those like really rare
Yes, it takes a lot of looking, and I never thought I'd find one in a tidepool!
Love the boat.
That's a megalobulimus! The entire genus has these lovely mustaches! Unfortunately many of the species in the genus are threatened or even extinct. They're all native to South and Central America. I forgot the exact species this red buddy is, but other species like M. oblongus and M. ovatus are quite popular in the snailkeeping hobby because of those adorable mustaches! Edit: Considering the location, it is quite likely the one you found was a Megalobulimus popeilarianus , those seem to be the most common species there

😭😭😭👏👏👏 I love those humpback whales!! Great job!!! 💝
Absolutely heartwarming. They’re are still some good people out there that believe in helping others.
This is Jo who shot the video. I took all the floats from that awful net and created something beautiful that I'm now giving away. You can read about why I did it and see pictures of the sculpture here: www.triplefin.org/post/turning-ugliness-into-beauty
Paul Hamilton, you my friend are an amazing man. Seeing that whale breach was incredibly beautiful and awe inspiring. Thank you for saving that gentle giant of the sea. I cannot express my gratitude for you and your selfless act of love. You are my hero.
What an amazing story, especially how the whale understood so quickly that you were helping her and how she figured out how to help appropriately. How can they still trust humans with all the horrible things we have done to them? You are indeed a hero!
Very nice Paul. Gotta love those madcap Mobulas.
so beautiful! What a treat!!
hahaha gizmo barking at the Rays adds to it! Pretty damn cool!
