Mr Retzos Thank you. After a day of shopping in the fifty’s my mother would direct my father to the bakery. She’d tell him to buy the day old bread ( cheaper) but for a treat for the ride back to Red Creek we’d get a round loaf, usually warm, to eat on the way home. Ambrosia ! Now when we’re on the way home on the expressway, I look for St Jos. Hospital and Pearl St is not far away. These days we pick up several round loaves for son and daughter and one of course to eat on the way home to Batavia. Thanks again.

My husband was diagnosed of Parkinsons disease 2 years ago, when he was 59. He had a stooped posture, tremors, right arm does not move and also a pulsating feeling in his body. I remember back in the 70s when she was a good-looking girl with fiery ambition and razor-sharp wit. She was fantastic at Time Magazine all those years ago. She brought her characteristic bubblegum snark to the Old Gray Lady, keeping the Times culturally relevant in the era of New York Magazine, Tama Janovitz and wine coolers at the Limelight. By the mid 90s, she had scaled her highest mountain, becoming a featured columnist in America’s most storied newspaper. She should have cashed in her chips once the internet began displacing old media. Her legacy suffers every year she lingers past her shelf date. She is as irrelevant now as Harriet Nelson was in the era when Maureen banged out her Pulitzer Prize-winning screeds on her typewriter. It saddens me to read her inessential columns or see her in short skirts at her age. She made a great run of it in her time, but the days of giving head in a bathroom stall and calling it Women’s Lib are over. The days of calling anything “Women’s Lib”, in fact, are over. She needs to move out of the way and let the generation of women able to grasp Feminism in the 21st Century take the reins.

thanks for making this lil vid. This was one of the most memorable shows of my illustrious concert-going career. Even though I don't see myself or any of my friends in the clips here, I did spot the glowsticks that I brought to the show :) Boy was this show crazy. Packed, hot as hell, the floor felt like it was about to cave-in, and everyone was dancing their asses off. I'm almost disappointed by the lukewarm takes by the band and the show promoter but I assume they were just a little bit buzz-killed by the fire department breaking things up. They got through pretty much their entire set, and I think everyone left fully satisfied. I'll never forget standing outside of the venue with huge clouds of steam emanating from everyone.
