The Dewalt DCD444B vs. DCD470 and DCD999
We planned to do a short review of this tool but fell short on time. Possibly in the near future, I will edit this description to include a full written review. In the meanwhile, enjoy watching us drill through some lumber with this drill.

Looking for one to turn an earth auger, probably 4" and 6" up to 8". Have been looking at the Makita but I have many Dewalt tools and batteries. I was leaning toward the 60v for the additional power. Your thoughts?
They both come with speed chuck's too but you're limited to what bits you can use
Right what I need...
Just bought the 444. Thanks for the comparison
Where did you buy it?
@@davparksoh online from Home Depot
@@johnsandlinjr I've read nightmare stories about ordering online from Home Depot - how was your experience? Also, what do you think so far about the 444 - is it a good tool - good torque?
@@davparksoh ordering wasn’t bad. Came in two days. Did come with a hole in the rubber housing on the front. But I figure it’s a tool, so it will get beat up anyway. I didn’t think it was worth sending back. Unfortunately I literally haven’t used it to drill yet. I’ll update you when I do.
@@johnsandlinjr I'm still deciding whether to go with the 444 or 445 - is your keyed 1/2" chuck good? - sometimes the chucks have trouble gripping bits. Also, did you go with the 60v 9ah 609 flexvolt battery? Thanks
Have the 470, looking to minimize my setup and this was exactly the comparison I was looking for.
Throw a flexvolt battery on it, and it becomes unstoppable!
