I Try to Keep Record of Everything I see while out Birdwatch, Hiking, Canoeing or Working. My dog Wiskwu Spends a lot of Time with me as well. I have been capturing photos for most of my life and began to be serious about it after college 8 years ago. I now work in a pickle factory, with hopes of becoming a professional photographer/videographer. A dream within that dream is to have my own TV show for kids explaining nature, Hiking, Camping, exploring and everything outdoors. I grew up in Rural Michigan, Spent many Summers Fishing and Camping on my grandfather's wetlands and Forest. During my first summer in college I went to Alaska to Process Fish, the Boss of a Small Company just started and she had some issues, so I went home. That trip changed my life, I decided to stop college. I began working double time, 21 days in a row with 3 or 4 off, Milking cows with no Overtime. 152 hrs in a paycheck, and enough money to drive, camp, and explore Michigan. I was living in a tiny 450ft room.

I never thought I would be here. Looking back on the last 10 years, my first 10 years as an adult. There were a lot of low points. There were a few high points. I lost a lot of Friends, pretty much all of them. Some by my own choice, some moved away, some choose not to be my friend. In the beginning of these last Ten Years I had my family, I still have my family now and it's bigger. I lost a dog, I gained a dog. I moved probably 5 or 6 times. I lost a lot of faith in humanity. I gained a broader sense of humor. Sometimes humor is the only way to enjoy a bad time. I found out I am more capable then I ever imagined. I gained a lot of Skill and Knowledge.

I hope one day my work gets noticed. I've Painted Thousands of Paintings. I have taken million plus photos, and thousands of videos. I have hiked for hrs, for days, for weeks, for months. I have been bitten by bugs, twisted ankles, Sunk a Canoe, boaters flash from canoeing, slept in a winter coat, blanket, and sleeping bag, still cold. I've spent Thousands of dollars in gas, cameras, SD cards, ...

Well, I got a new camera for the Bird Feeders. Hopefully, it makes it a little easier to document the Yardlife. Often, as I sit outside, I dream of setting up wildlife cameras in the middle of the Arctic wilderness, but for now, I guess I settle on watching the Wildlife in the yard I am always continuing on with life and letting my dreams sit on the back burner. #nature #wildlife #birding #wild...

It is so weird I make 6 dollars more an hour then I did in High-school. Yet everything besides Gas cost twice as much. My dad made more doing less hard work, 25 years ago. I'm not sure what to do anymore, but I will continue to just work as much as I can. Hopefully one day I can have my own TV Show and at least make enough to pay for my camera, car, and gasoline bill. Right now times are tough ...

I grew up dreaming. Dreaming of being a Rockstar, Dreaming of being a Scientist, Dreaming of being a Photographer. None of those dreams came true, except one. I am a Father and have a loving Family. I wouldn't want to ask for to much more. Maybe just a job that I could spend more time with them. Sure Packing Pickels is nice enough to pay bills and all that. just being in a factory for 10 hrs, a...

We should govern ourselves differently. First and foremost is get rid of income tax and only have sales tax. Second is abandon all our bases that are not essential to trade. Get rid of Nasa, Send that money to NOAH. Get rid of all State Representatives, send text message with local issues and have periodic votes from our phones on local issues. If there is a state level issue, elect someone from the local Area that is an expert in that issue. Then hear from all local state experts on the issue and have a vote instantly. No sense in wasting all this time and money like we do in America, it's unbearable.
You say we should invade Japan?

Looking at this vid sitting, looking at Lake Huron on the other side of the lp.
I'm back on the lake huron side to make more pickels at work
Beautiful
Thank you
I like how cow cat be like: “I got my eye on you” 🐱
She is a good mama
Rare, elusive, beautiful
Not really, stray cats often live a miserable life, followed by clueless females obsessed with romanticising the abuse! 😠😢
I know right they don't make them like this everywhere lol
These cats are well fed, they live a better life then most wildlife. If it wasn't for the cats we would have raccoons and foxes,
Please get her spayed
If you want to pay for it be my guest. The vet I take wiskwu to is taking donations for animal control in sandusky. I would much rather have more birds, foxes, and wildlife but hey I'm stuck with about 40 wildcats in my neighborhood
@GeraldAndKayleeDeering Don't be a smartass. There are low cost and free spay and neuter programs everywhere. Be responsible
I'm just telling you my opinion and the vet I go to does accept donations and they do have it on their sign out front. I'm all for wildlife and invasive species control but no one wants to really pay for it anyway might as well enjoy the cats
❤that cat is adorable😊
Yeah they get that way
Take care of it like we do Down Under 🎯
Lol I'm not sure that's allowed in town, bet you guys get more foxes and stuff like that. Would be nice to have a neighborhood fox instead of cats
Так сладко!
Google The Best 10 Animal Shelters near Deckerville, a list will come up, contact them, they can come with traps
Idk seems like nature would just work itself out right? Will they replace these cats with foxes?
Hopefully you not going to kill them because of your birds, if your birds are contained then shouldnt be an issue. Maybe feed the cats? They gotta eat too.
The Birds are wild, idk other people feed them. One time I went to the grocery store and someone dumped an entire bag right by the side of the building. There were about 5 wild Cats Swarming in to eat. These wild Cats also eat all of the Native squirrels it seems like the only wildlife we get is birds and cats.
Have you considered TNR for the stray cats that show up? (Trap, Neuter, Release) A lot of places and organisations will do it for free, as it not only helps control the population of stray cats from multiplying but in turn helps reduce the negative effects cat colonies can have on the biodiversity of the area. We had a cat issue a couple of years ago around my apartment complex, it took a while due to how many kittens there were, but all of them have now been neutered, all the kittens were rehomed (my neighbour has two of them), and the amount of cats has finally stopped multiplying!
I'm not sure we live in a pretty small town
@@GeraldAndKayleeDeering Cant you Google cat rescues in your city or nearest city, Humane society..?
I'm sure they are aware of it. The Vet I bring my dog to in the closest city has on the sign in front of it Donations for Animal Control so I guess money must be an issue
LOL the way the ktten looks like it wanna attack its mommas tail so cute
It does all the time now
Nice so their adopting you and your home ❤😊
Well it I'd actually my neighbors home, we get a lot of wild Cats every year here
I used too live a little further out in the country we’ld end up with with stays hanging around and they were fertile so we’ld have them spayed and adopt them never had problems with any rodents in or around the house one cat was always watching the woodchuck in in the back yard it would eat even thorny brush in the backyard had a swamp too exsplore a pond too fish and swim in two miles of dirt road from town good times gotta find another notch or nitch too move too with my Son Nicholas Happy Days Ahead Amen
Thanks 😊 Enjoying Life
Looking for another location be Well
They do keep mice and squirrels away so it's not so bad right?
Adorable 🥰
Must be Flea City for the kitty.
I'm not sure, I don't pet them and my dog has medicine for them
@@GeraldAndKayleeDeering Boo!
Lol they get a lot of pets from the neighbors
Starlings eat a lot of bugs
Very cute dogs!
Thank you
Mama puttin’ in a hard day’s work and clocking out.
Like every mother does
If they adopt you they’ll bring dead rodents back and show you the worst time a pretty bird made a nest in a bush by my front window the cat would look out at it I came home and there were feathers in my kitchen and no bird
That is cool but I don't want dead mice. They can live under the neighbors porch that's fine
Gotta give her some privacy lol
There is no such thing as privacy
She only poops with me a lot of the time. She likes when I watch then she gets treats lol
Lmao you definitely can
Guess we will have to test it out
Strays at my apartments ANY COLOR NOW-ALL HAVE striped tails lol even the mixed s
Isn't that weird. I started noticing it about 5 years ago.
In Kentucky?
This is michigan but all over the thumb Region the Cats are like this with stripes on the tail

Other people feed then plus on trash day they get a lot of foos

Yeah it's weird how they form herds here in town though
Was that a grape vine 🤢 I'm going to be able to sleep
Yeah they get pretty big pretty fast.
Beautiful ❤
Thank you! 😊
Climb level:2
She is the best dog this is by far her favorite rock
What is that lake called
This is the Cass River. It empties into Lake Huron eventually.
Oh
Yes it's a huge Lake
And super furry
She is the best
Your dog is cute
Thank you
Your welcome
What's your dogs name
Wiskwu
Oh
In mu area we used to have so many beavers then the wildlife people relocated them! Oddly in beaverton ore i never saw a beaver!
Lol they seem to being doing strong here in Michigan. Way more Beavers then 20 years ago
It's cool too watching them raise the water levels in the bog
@@GeraldAndKayleeDeering beavers are also one of Canada's national animals that they highlight! Think it's fun to watch beavers who've been raised in captivity instinctual build dams!
That is nice I'm not sure people really enjoy having the Beavers in their back yard but I have read they help with flooding, and fish. A lot of Fish don't like dirt and soil in the water. Technically, pollution the beavers cut down on the dirty water.
Beautiful girl
Thank you
Soooo cute 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥺 👇👋

looks like my little slice of heaven here in East Texas

Looks COOL dude😊
Thanks 😁
Maple tree is a soft wood this has nothing to do with being strong what you smokin
Just Google it, maple is one of the hardest domestic woods used in furniture making. There are several different species of maple, and they do vary in hardness. I'm not saying your wrong but from what I have researched maple is in fact a hard wood
Drag some timbers or a length of chain link fence to smooth out the ground.
Someone actually commented what this was used for and i looked it up, they were right. It is a Drag beam for construction. I think to smooth the ground, we would need a heavy barrel to pull behind the 4 wheeler or maybe tractor. But the Tractor tires might just make it worse
@@GeraldAndKayleeDeering I can’t comment on construction but these are pretty common in the farm world. For something lightweight like an atv it could work pretty well on hard dirt or a gravel driveway. Sometimes it’s fun to go to local farm auctions to see equipment and get ideas of what you can do on your property.
Yes we have a old fence we have used behind the four wheeler on the driveway, but for the lawn we should probably use a steel barrel, the ruts from the Tractor are about 2 inches deep
Drag beam
Do they still use these in construction?
4 horse beam used to pull farm equipment. Hanging vertical for storage. 🤷
I'm not sure if horses have been used here in a long time. My grandfather had tractors, maybe his dad did that would be over 100 years ago. I'm not sure why they would of kept it that long either
Drives me nuts when I see DPW. Just humming the things into the chipper. They don't even realize how much money they have in their hands half the time
Yeah they do that a lot in Michigan. They even have commercials for how many trees they cut, saying it helps reduce power outages, im not sure. Most the time they cut or prune them very well
@@GeraldAndKayleeDeering I live in MA, I will literally see them throw 3ft wide maple burls right into the chipper
I don't really watch them, but I'm sure they do here in Michigan to. They butchered half of old cedar trees cut a L shape eight out of them
Burls, they dont typically get too big on fruit trees.
Yeah I heard it's from to much water but can't be sure. Looks like a burl tho
@@GeraldAndKayleeDeering yeah my understanding is just certain stressors cause it but most often bugs or a fungus will get in, its like a tree scab.
Are tree scabs of any value, we have huge English walnut that almost split in half but then it healed itself.
Are apple trees really dense wood?
I don't believe so, not really sure, I know they can make nice furniture and decorations, bowls and stuff like that
Where y'all homesteading at
This is in the Thumb of Michigan,
@@GeraldAndKayleeDeering y'all heard any dog man or squatch out there? I'd be more concerned about dogman depending on how isolated it is
Lol not much sign of squatch or dog man in this area, have seen cougar though
Do they want to go off to work?
They want to do just about everything with us, lol
I bet it still works good
Yeah, need a decent sized tractor to run it and the controls weren't really put in the best/safest spot. Hydraulic lines also need to be replaced, but it could probably still work
That fox got real estate
Lol😂
Lol I'm not sure if it's still in use, we have a few fox dens on the property. Lots of apples, rabbits, mice, and just food in general here. Got a few on trail cam to
What intersection is that near?
I can't recall the name but the road going north dead ends in the Bog. The road that runs east and west dead ends at the road going north and continues east
What part of the Bog is that near?
This would be right by the dead end with the circle drive/ camping area at the end of it. There is also a section of road near here that has been blocked and is a foot path now. Just West of the Black River. Can't recall the rd name
