The BL3/EX forestry mulcher and the SK200MX: An unbeatable combination
Engineered with advanced Bite Limiter technology, this mulcher efficiently handles trees up to 8 inches in diameter. Available in 49 and 59-inch working widths, the BL3/EX ensures exceptional speed and performance while minimizing power demand. Its robust design features heat-treated forged-steel BL blades for durability and lower operating costs.
Equipped with a 110/60 cc Variable Torque (VT) motor, the BL3/EX provides increased torque when needed, reducing the risk of rotor stalling. The Sonic System, an automatic intelligent hydraulic transmission manager, further enhances the mulcher's capabilities. Additional features include a thumb bracket and hydraulic thumb for moving materials and Spike Pro counter-blades for finer mulch size.

Still hoping one day a smaller PT-175 comes out with loader arms , say 150hp and rubber tracks. I think it would destroy the STL as an option.
Still prefer loader arms, and if they did a slightly smaller 150hp rubber tracked machine I think they would destroy STL,s.
It needs loader arms , it would be so much more versatile.

Greetings from the Bahamas. I'm interested in getting into land clearing and mulching here on the island of Abaco. Our terrain is mostly limestone throughout the pine forest.. and I wouldn't try to pulverize the ground level through the forest.. but I think it would be fine on land already dozed and graded by heavier equipment!?! I'd like to ask your recommendation on a skid steer/ mulching combo.. preferably pre- def.. that I can get a few good years from.. with regular maintenance of course, any advice would be truly appreciated.

With the enormity of what's there it looks like they need bigger and multiple machines to make any noticeable progress.
If they are just mulching dead trees, and the brush, he can probably get 5 acres done a day on his ranch maybe more. Of course multiple machines would speed the process up but those machines are 500k a pop, and $500 in fuel a day, plus $1500 a set of teeth.

Nice vid, thanks. I have the same skid steer with a Diamond 48" disc mulcher, it's fast but violent and doesn't leave a finished look. Thinking about this mulcher for all the reasons you listed.

i leave in the Caribbean we have ALOT of volcanic and limestone type rocks . i know those will KILL a mulcher in minutes . can a rotary rock-crusher used on a skid-steer also be used to mulch in those conditions as it is designed to deal with the rocks already?
