Had the privilege of spending 2 days @ Sai Sanctuary few years ago. Could meet Mr. Malhotra and hear him talk so passionately about his venture and its contribution to the ecosystem at large. Mrs. Malhotra was busy with her book at that time so couldn't meet her. What they both have done to the world is unparalleled. Its unfortunate that Mr. Malhotra left us and his soulmate few years ago. I pray to god to give Mrs. Malhotra and Sai Sanctuary long life. God bless them all.!

An aperture of 8...14 was much too low for me when directly shooting into the sunrise. I may use a ND filter now.

Is it allowed to walk to the island?
Yes, it is possible to walk to this island, but it's important to ensure your return before high tide. Additionally, it's worth noting that walking to the island is only feasible when tides are exceptionally low and not an everyday occurrence.

Question about sunrise timelpase : Question. So if I want to use a nd filter for a sunrise timelapse, what strength would you recommend to start with ? I’m planning on shooting with canon Rf 600mm with fixed aperture of F11 because it’s a very distant sunrise with lots of houses and trees in between and I don’t want to crop so much
I prefer variable NDs. For me it is a convenient and good option rather than carrying multiple individual filters. I currently use Haida PROII CPL-VND 2
