brings back memories when i was a child
One of the best opening and closing themes of any program.
But it was dropped in 1991 for a new theme when A.M. Weather went all in for computer graphics. That theme did fit the Aviation side of the show.

You grew up with KAET also? I used to watch it during the 2000’s, they had an entirely different style. Then they became like every PBS station
And the CBS logo is nowhere to be found. Think that lack of branding would fly today?

+Rudy Iraheta nope the "Eyewitness News" theme were for ABC O&O's back then (except for WLS Chicago, KGO San Francisco, WPVI Philadelphia & KFSN Fresno), KNXV was owned by Scripps-Howard Broadcasting at the time.

@@rudyiraheta80 They were an ABC Affiliate but not an O&O. KNXV was originally a Fox affiliate until late 1994 (when KSAZ took the Fox affiliation because of NFL rights).

This is just a brief short theme song,for the TV Broadcasts of Phoenix Suns Basketball Games, which were then on KUTP-TV45 later renamed UPN45 and now known as My45 Cable 9. Fox Sports Arizona is now the exclusive home of Phoenix Suns Basketball, and this theme song is heard only on the Phoenix Suns Radio Network Flagship Station KTAR-AM 620 ESPN Phoenix 620 AM.

There were actually 2 different Versions of the season 1 intro. one used the thermian while the other used strings instead

Theme#1 was originally used on the early episodes of the 1st season of the original NBC network run as well as the pre 1978 reruns.

Great cut of music. I used to look forward to Fridays just to see the credit roll and hear this music.
Fry from futurama had it right. it gave loads of geeks the illusion of friendship. During my darkest times. it felt good knowing i had my bridge full of friends and officers. ;P

I read somewhere that the animated series theme IS the Courage theme with all the notes played in reverse order. I'd love to hear it played backward to confirm this.
