Home Depot Constructioon - Levittown, NY - June 2017
Huge progress has been made since our last flight over the Levittown Home Depot Construction area. The building is constructed and interior work has begun. The parking lot and entryways have all taken shape as well. The garden center looks like it's going to be an impressive sight once complete. Enjoy!

It's been 12 years in the making but finally the old TSS building has been torn down to make way for Home Depot. No more K-Mart, Borders Books, or Office Max. A lot of progress has been made since they torn down the old building with the basement filled in and walls partially put up! Music: Bensound.com

Beautiful neighborhood. From what I could tell by looking into some of the history, a carpenter was better off in 1950 than today. I wonder what those houses sell for today.

I definitely miss the memories. I grew up there in the 50s and 60s around the East Village Green, Division Ave High (now JFK High).

matthew ross I just moved to North Carolina to an app years ago lived in Levitown from the mid 60s to the early 90s then went to Lindenhurst bought my first house there for 20 years then I retired and moved down here south in North Carolina. Yes I do miss Long Island in Levitown. But having a house built on the lake in North Carolina it’s just beautiful so peaceful country living I love it here.
Went to N.C and fla in Retirement...going back to levittown.,miss the people and life style., grand kids also

And I could never forget about spit it was a blast from the past that’s for sure. When I was 20 I met my wife in Levitown and I’m still with her after 34 years she went to MacArthur I was from Memorial
From Hempstead Tpk and south on Center Lane were the first Levittown homes. Then east toward Wantagh Avenue along North Jerusalem Avenue where you would cover some of the homes built before Levitt built. A little red schoolhouse just east of Wantagh Avenue.
Looks like it starts at Karopczyk school, (Farmedge)then over the old Gallow school.

I went camping there with the Boy Scouts in 1973. Much later my friends and I climbed a huge pine tree there from which we could see clear across much of Nassau. I have even taken my kids hiking there and exploring the ruins of King Zog's estate.- Ralph
How did you obtain the permit to fly over a NY State Park? I was told they are not handing out Permits for flying UAV's at this time. I am going to NY this weekend and was originally hoping t fly over a few of the New York State Parks but was unable to obtain a permit.
People are always flying drones without permits around captree, no one ever bothers anyone.
