I have followed your channel since you moved to Canada.. We have roots in Zim and UK so really click with you.. You seem a wonderful family.. You moved for stability and safety probably.. you have given your children a good teenage life.. and you have really given Canada a go.. but I think your soul is not happy.. in your heart you know that it is not easy to progress and thrive in Canada.. the emotion in this vid is so apparent..you have stuck it out to give your children the best but you also know that they will struggle to earn enough for their future.. your physical symptoms probably align with the fact that you are in stress survival mode.. I also think this because we are in the same boat.. we have moved around Canada and found that it is pretty much the same all over.. don’t get me wrong, it’s stunningly beautiful but the fires, the lake algae and ecoli, the heat of summer, the freeze of winter, the cannabis and drugs and homelessness all go together to create a transient atmosphere.. people move around trying to improve themselves.. bottom line is.. it’s not good. People saying they’ll wait till their children are this age or that.. why wait? For us, moving is the only option.. To find a balance between lifestyle choice and cost of living..So, from our family to yours we send you strength and clarity.. and that rat story could be Canada lol Take care.. you are awesome!!!

I also dislike the fire bans! When i was growing up here, there were never fire bans, and not so many wildfires. I think the grill thing is because ppl sometimes dump hot charcoal afterwards so they can cool the bbq to take it home. Just have to plan your braii for earlier in spring or later in fall ❤

Always expensive at these type of events especially food and alcohol ... $18/beer at a Canucks game and in Toronto it's $30 for a hotdog and fries... stupid expensive. Pro tip: Drink and eat before you arrive.

Just at the end of Calgary stampede (didn't go) but kept hearing from those that went the prices for food were crazy. )10 days of cowboy crazy. I'm surprised seemed like every day was hot & sunny. Usually couple days in the past years got rained out. I suppose the PNE end of August will be the same. $$$ What you see for that one event of cowboy dress up is what we've seen here for 10 days including most businesses and staff all take part.

What's the story about the aeroplane

Western Cape is in better shape in 2024 than when I left in 2001. No litter, roads are great, economy is fairly buoyant. You still have to be alert for sure but it’s not worse than the 90s . The downside is whites are expelled from the economy so getting a job is out of the question. Entrepreneurship is the only way or you live off your assets generating income offshore. However that could change with the new govt. I’m seriously thinking of going back from NZ.

Good fun post, well done! Someone I worked with retired early but still wanted to stay active. His idea was to assist seniors by providing home maintenance services on a contract basis. For example, one customer wanted their lawn cut regularly while another wanted their furnace filters changed every fall. His services expanded as time went on to include vehicle oil changes, fixing dripping faucets ... basically doing whatever the customer needed. In very short time he had several people working for him. Food for thought.
