This was a good introduction to the fetish character of capitalism. One important distinction should be made. Marx, when he refers to religious fetish is making an analogy. The difference between religious and capitalist fetish is that religious fetishism/animism/totemism/idolatry is based on a mental subjective misattribution of animate powers to inanimate things. It is based on belief. But capitalist fetishism as he says is not a mental deception. It is a result of the real or practical inversion that occurs when humans take the products of labour to market to exchange for equivalent commodities. In placing unequal things into an equivalent relation of exchange the concrete labours and qualities are occluded by the abstract ratio that is established between them.

How is it poosible that no one has ever realized that atomism is false, being so simple? If an atom is indivisible, then there is no point in quistioning about its interior. How much wealth would be produced in the month of May, if the working class went on a general strike for the whole month? That might be a way of explaining the labour theory of use-value as it is proven in concrete terms. The labour theory of exchange-value is that the goods and services produced during a month when workers weren't on strike, would be exchanged in the market place of commodities on the basis of the amount of average socially necessary labour time embodied or crystallised in them. Thus, living labour becomes commodified dead labour through the operation of the wage system where workers are hired for the exchange value of their skills, the commodification of social relations in everyday life. Price fluctuates with supply and demand of and for commodities for sale in the market further obfuscating the relation between producer and product. The commodification of use-value obscures the fact that labour is producing the wealth, that labour is producing capital, that labour is reproducing the social relation of Capital via the wage system, the system where the value of labour power is paid with the money commodity in exchange for the ownership of the product of labour to which is paid for with the money commodity in the marketplace of commodities. The dialectical analysis of the commodity begins with the unity of opposites--exchange-value and use-value, the abstract and the concrete, living labour and dead labour. The negation of commodified wealth would be the association of producers establishing the production of wealth for use, not sale, with distribution of use-value based on need, not on the possession of the money commodity, in other words, the abolition of the wages system of slavery.

"the creation of agriculture created great climate change" - what a blatant lie, such opportunism, this pseudo environmentalist fashion everywhere is disgusting. If what he means is local microclimate due to changes in the biotop, he should say it precisely. Next thing we will hear, is that Egyptian agriculture was the reason for the drying of Sahara desert. How can a grown man expose such ignorance in front of others, boggles my mind.
