I'm surprised you get an apple everyday...can you get more food and if you do do you need to pay more?

yeah it doesn't look like enough food for middle and high school kids. Mine is at a kindergarten and elementary school, plus I can literally take as much as I want .

they have several break times throughout the day though that they can choose to go out and play or stay in the classroom and chat.

I think its because right after lunch they have nap time, so they are supposed to be winding down
