I love this game and although I was put off when I first started the second game due to the plot twist the more I played the more I started to enjoy it. I highly recommend this game to everyone who enjoys rpg's and persona fans who are looking to get into other atlus rpg's.

according to google, "Chanting "Om Mani Padme Hum" 108 times is thought to activate and purify the chakras, particularly the heart chakra". idk but the idea of "purifying" may be linked to the idea of stripping something down to its essence, which is a way that the demon virus is described by angel in the duology. and the tribes represent the chakras or whatever

great video, I do think the random encounters actually make a lot of sense for this game in particular , the battle theme is literally called "Hunting" you are supposed to be searching for these things and devouring them to fill your Mantras, if these were overworld encounters you wouldn't really feel the scouring point of the Mantra/Devouring system

@6:40 The "Warning to the Vanguards" / "Warning to the Embryon" are Serph and Harley broadcasting to the opposing sides, since neither knows what the object is. @8:00 The game draws inspiration from Buddhism, yes, but the naming conventions are mainly drawn from Hinduism. The names of the areas (Muladhara, Svadhisthana, Manipura, etc) correspond to the seven Chakra points from Hindu Tantrism, ascending from the root to the crown of the body. @16:04 I find it interesting that watching this scene, we see Argilla armed with a machine gun, when for the rest of the game she carries a rifle, with the SMG being relegated to Gale and Cielo.

DDS was a game I came across many years in a small shopping mall in one of those cardboard shelves that usually contains all those shovelware and licensed titles. It was a game I had never seen before and it had a rather distinct cover art so I decided to give it a shot. Fell in love right away.

This reminds me that I need to play DDS2 still lol

I've always been very interested in Digital Devil Saga, I just don't have a good video card to play it, but when the time comes I'll definitely enjoy it, great work with this video, it made me more interested in the game!!
