Good music, Todd👍🏻
Nice
Just more out of state airstrip baggers!
If you consider visiting a couple strips in a day, while stopping, hiking the area, having lunch and spending time “bagging” … your a cry baby. PS, your welcome for the out of state money
@@GravityKnightFlying Never asked for your out of state money. Idaho is not an “Airborne Off-road Park”. Thanks for nothing.
@@billhalbert7955 thankfully people like you don't get to dictate whether someone from out of state is allow to visit the backcountry of Idaho. again, if you think I bag strips, you didn't watch the video. if you are mad that I have shown others how beautiful the backcountry of idaho is - many of which will never get the chance to fly there and enjoy it in person... it's a little late to worry about letting the secret out. everyone has seen it all, all over social media, for years.. thanks for the ignorant comments, and negativity... hope you find happiness someday
Damn, That could have gone bad! Watch the tail wheel just barely strike the edge of the cliff!😲
Very kind of your friends to not object to being on camera. Many thanks to you for all the filming and editing. I'm looking forward to the next one, as I used to visit lots of caves in the UK and Europe.
Enjoy your videos professional done, #3 coming soon in a theatre near you. Thanks
Fun to watch video. It was not too long. I love the backcountry airstrips. I will watch more of your videos. You live where in Colorado? Thanks for sharing.
You take me to far away, out of the way places, where I can fly my Savage Cub on my Flt Sim, from here in Tasmania. God Bless. Fly safe.
What is ballpark pricing?
Hi, can you hit a 1 moa plate at 1000m with 3 bullets with the Savage 110 Tactical? THANKS.
Subscribed @ GKF RAW!!!💪🏼🇺🇸😎
OK. I am ex-Mil ATCO, RAF, English. And an Old man. I would be you, sir, were I fifty years younger. Your videos and narration are just splendid. I fly a Flt Sim. I just LOVE Idaho. It is heaven for the small plane pilot. Many, many thanks for this effort. May I suggest.... a small map, from time to time throughout, showing where to find these perfect strips.
🙋🏼♀️ sir ... do u know where people do some science in the mountains? Yeah. Like if there's a place to watch constantly or so? And scientist study it? I was talking to someone about that and we'll like to know.
I am stuck in a lounge chair and your videos take me places I only wish I could see. By far TOP tier flying and video. Thank you for doing what you do and A GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS.
thank you!!!!! and God bless you!
'Promo sm' 💖
Why do you use psi for atmosphere and the inches for manifold, that just seems confusing. Why not just use bar or kpa, then there is no need to change between units of measurement.
Espectacular video 👏👏👏👍
I finally realized that the area where you were skimming over the river was near Mineral Bottom on the Green River...
This is really a great Utah video, just watched it again and enjoyed locating each strip again on google earth, what incredible geography...
May I know which music did you include? Like in the ending scenes. Breathtaking landscapes, nice flying and music?
17:00 where is that?
Thats Factory Butte, headed west from Hanksville is Swing Arm City, a dirt bike and ATV mecca, Factory Butte is about 5 miles north. The Hidden Splendor landing strip is just north of there 8 miles and through the gap... cheers
@@markmark2080 Many thanks!
@@markmark2080 I always search for those places and then fly them in the simulator. Yes I'm a sim pilot.
@@rva1945 I'm just an old map junkie living a dream via YT and google earth, fell in love with Utah back in the 1970s...cheers
@@markmark2080 I visited Utah last year in May and too fell in love with it!
Where is Hardcore Canyon? I can't find it. Does it exist or am I wrong?
Well, they're all "Hardcore", but that name doesn't register, give me a 'time' in the video and I'll help you out...I love this stuff.
Iam 81 and half and learned to fly tje backcountry in Ldaho i had a 185 ans a 180 .super cub 206 was blessed by GOD to be able to do all of that onlr a few close calls its the best flying in the world stay safe
5:25 to 5:50 where is that location? Nice landscapes!
Somewhere in MT I think!! Been a while! :)

Schafer was good for elk hunting; Meadow Creek was beautiful for fishing ... I do miss those long, warm, lazy summer days there ...
I remember flying that area when I lived in Polson. Alaska is incredible as well ... but I do miss Montana.
When you said Meadow Creek was your favorite, I was a little surprised to see so much of it burned. Makes me wonder what made it your favorite.
This video's hittin' the spot. Cheers to you for taking us along 🍻
Beautiful country
You not worried about not enough oxygen up that high
It's not too bad up in that area. I land higher and hike back home than that. But down here in CO, we do have some pretty high stuff. I have a portable oxygen system I can take to stay legal. Living up high for the past 26 years does really help though, my oxygen levels stay above 95% even up real high with supplemental.
Outstanding video! Montana has a lot of fun places to fly! #iflymontana
Wow, good stuff.
Another great video. Thanks for sharing.
Closest place to heaven, thanks for showing us...
well said there, agreed! thanks!
Anyone know the lake/mountain with the waterfall at 10:30 ?
great stuff!
God forbid but what’s your plan if you have trouble in the mountains and have to set it down ? Extraction costs of having a chopper come in to remove the plane, survival gear, first aid , location beacon if you happen to fly alone which you aren’t doing and is very smart. I absolutely love the mountains there’s like a force that pulls me to them. I’d love to fly to all those spots but the risks scare the health out of me if you know what I mean.
You are not kidding about risks, and costs associated with something going wrong. I do the best maintence/inspections etc. I can. Ask for a little help from above, and send it! Ok... it's not quite like that. But at some point, there is just a risk, and if you fly in the mountains you are accepting that risk. I will say, as time goes on, I do less crazy off-airport and all that. You do start to wonder when your luck will run out. I have had engine outs, one in the mountains of Idaho.. a good story for another time. There are some ways to lower the risk (flying higher, with friends, the particular engine/airplane, how slow it stalls, etc. etc.) but you are right, in the end... there is a risk and it can't be avoided. Limiting your time in the moutains, and flying low, and probably the best ways to experiance some of this... but not push it. Anyway.. enough rambling. For me... I carry the garmin inreach to try and get help if it goes bad. I have spent a lot of time thinking about different types of terrain and where to land when it quits.. river, vs. trees, vs. steep hillsides etc. The plane lands pretty slow.. if I keep it together mentall, pick the best terrain to crash on, and have the inreach...warm cloths and enough supplies to survive out there for a while... I think positively beyond that....
Loved this video.
absolutely shyte music , unprofessional,shame
Wow! Incredible video! The views were amazing!!!!!
Absolutely beautiful as always! Lookin forward to the update on the Traveler! Wasn’t too long in my book!
Thanks buddy!!!
Fantastic video Todd. Love the footage... Epic!
Thank you very much!
I bet that even with all of those splendid views of hostile territory that you keep an eye out for that forced landing should it ever occur. There cannot be very many dirt roads out there to make that decision as to where to set her down.
Very rugged place to have to set it down. Real glad the Edge Performance engine kept purring away out there!!!! Would have considered water skiing across a like and piling it into the shore to avoid the massive trees in a lot of that area. Some other options too.. but not many good ones!
Splendid production Todd- we need to do this again, each and every year! Thanks for the excellent job of capturing the majestic landscape of Glacier and western Montana!
Agreed my friend!
